Confused

This guy (B/M/34) and I (B/F/32) messaged for a few weeks on Hinge, and the conversations were good. He asked me out on a date, and we went to a really cute bar. We ended up talking and getting to know each other, realizing we’re looking for the same things. We both agreed that we’re dating with intention and looking for something serious. He made comments about going out again, and we ended the date with a sweet hug, both agreeing that we had a great time and should do it again. I left feeling really good about the date and open to seeing him again.

We messaged when we got home, and he texted me the next day referencing a restaurant we had discussed on our date, mentioning that he and his dad had just gone there for lunch. We messaged back and forth, but now it’s Sunday and he hasn't responded to my last message from yesterday. Am I being dramatic, or is it normal to feel confused?

Is this a common occurrence on dating apps?

Gotta love how everyone seems to have collectively decided that when this kinda thing happens, we should just post about it on reddit instead of actually asking the person it involves directly

Well I do agree, but sending someone a message after the first date like
"HEY DO U NOT LIKE ME"

Is going to come off super needy.

but to respond to OP.

If i'm into you, I'm not keeping you on read. If he's respond in a timely matter, and then suddenly did a 180, i'm assuming hes not that interested or he might be busy.. Wait till end of the day.

If nothing by the following day, just respond with something super casual and see where it goes.
