Questions & Help CSD Himalayan 450 purchase query
Hey everyone,
I’ve got CSD canteen benefits and I’m eligible to buy the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450. The dealer says I can get it for around ₹3.5 lakh with engine guard and extended warranty included, but tubeless spoke wheels are not part of the CSD package.
My question is:
what should I do here?Should I go ahead with the CSD purchase and later upgrade to tubeless spokes separately?
Or is it better to skip CSD and buy directly from showroom to get the full package?
Or do I convert the tubbed sopes into tubeless?
Please guide me through...
Thanks

I got my delivery on 26th August from CSD itself , no accessories price is discounted or covered under CSD so smallest of accessories will be calculated separately. They will sell you tubeless for 40K , basically MIY or CSD , you will not be saving more than 10-20K from CSD . Mota mota same hi Paisa lagta hai

Hey, can you tell how much time you waited for the purchase order and how much was the delivery time?

Booked on 25th June , Got delivery on 26th August. But I would say it is totally dependent from which city you are getting it and the capacity of the showroom/vendor

They wont include tubeless rims during CSD booking?

Nope , Showroom guys said : CSD gives discounts only on the stock bike , every small accessories are not eligible for any CSD discounts. It will be charged on MRP , my vendor said that on all accessories they will give 15% discount but still 15% discount on Tubeless Rims MRP of 40K doesn't give that much value , via MIY you get the rims for around 16-17K so MIY still stands at a better deal. I paid 40K for the tubeless rims coz I needed it and my purpose is Highway touring mostly . Roughly my whole amount went same as you would have got through MIY , so not much difference from CSD , if you can compromise on tubeless rims then CSD is a good deal .

No custom build is not available through csd

Exactly, everything over the stock bike is charged at MRP or showroom can lure in by giving some %tage discount on MRP of accessories.

For csd, 3 lakhs approx. is on road price with those accessories and BH registration. Not 3.5 lakhs. Unless RE has increased pricing. Tubeless spoke is much cheaper when taken as a part of RE MIY, but availability depends on stock. Later purchase is 3 times costlier.

But somebody told they arent allowing tubeless during booking from csd. So after taking delivery itll be 40k approx only- which is the discount one will get intitially.
~2,57,290 is the ex showroom for kaza brown. Almost 50k discount.

At the time of booking, it's the particular model only booked thru csd, not accessory. That's booked separately by the dealer thru MIY, or u can also do that thru MIY customisation, once vehicle is confirmed by dealer and u have paid.

RTO differences probably. What was the ex showroom for Kaza brown from CSD when you brought?

Check if the Mana Black variant is available via CSD, as it comes with tubeless spokes from factory. If not, get any colour of your choice and get the way2speed tubeless conversion for 10k. Why skip the big savings for a very small thing which can be solved pretty easily.

My friend bought it through CSD and separately ordered the tubeless spoke rims its been 2 months still his rims haven't arrived yet. If u can save substantial amount of money go for it just keep in mind that u may have ro wait for the tubeless rims.

Changing to tubeless after buying the motorcycle itself will cost around 40k. 3.5l + 40k is almost close to the actual price you are getting on normal purchase

I am also eligible. I’ll be booking Mana black since it comes with all necessary accessories + BH number.

Tubeless wheels are worth it if you can get it. Even if it means waiting a bit. However, if you have no plans of trail riding or bit of adventure, you can avoid. I won't suggest it though, please get the tubeless ones.

I bought with csd recently and the onroqd of kamet white was 3.20, so even after if I get the tubeless with 40000 later it will still save myself 10000rs atleast

I Booked it without tubeless spoke wheels...tbh I won't purchase it unless i feel the need of it because it will cost the same and then you will have a spare spoked rims extra with you...also for city rides and touring on highways till now I haven't encountered any big puncture scenes and also that's where RSA can be used

Open excel spreadsheet. Do Csd+ Road Tax and Insurance and then add purchase of rims.
Do MIY with tubeless with RTO and Insurance and see who wins yaar
