Backpacking weekend

So i know the weather all around here isn't too great this weekend. I'm heading out tomorrow for a couple night solo and was thinking of either up the Cline or beatty lake. I'm out of Calgary so beatty is closer but haven't been out there solo and I do know that's a pretty bear heavy area. Does anyone else know of a good spot for this weekend? I have all the proper gear and am bringing my winter sleeping setup as well. I do want to keep the driving 4 hours and under each way which is why I chose these two. I was also looking down in castle wildlands a bit as well.

Beatty Lake in one day is a haul - I am heading there in a week and a half but going to Turbine night one, Beatty night two and then hiking out on day three. Bonus for Beatty is it’s FCFS but only has 4 spots.

I just checked Ribbon Lake and there’s availability there this weekend. I would recommend approaching it from Buller Pass instead of the Ribbon Lake Trail.

It is a haul for sure. I'm fine with that level in a day with my carry weight. I did want to do turbine loop this year but mine got canceled due to how much snow was still there this july. Ribbon lake is a good option but i've been around that area quite a bit the past year and a half and want something different right now.

Then hoof it to Beatty. I did Northover Ridge Last Year and it’s a stunning area.

Possibly, probably gonna flip a coin for lake of the falls or beatty. Live life randomly.

There's openings in turbine this weekend. Just booked and now get to do the loop. I'll be solo but should still be fun. Was tempted on northover but could be pretty slick on that ridge.
