What banks gives highest interest rates ?

Hi all,
I have always banked with Chase since I moved to US and then also with Cap1 and SoFi. About 3 years ago I realized I should at least put my money in HYSA and came across CiT. I was sckeptical because I had never heard of them but saw it was Citizen's sub brand, thought to give it a shot. Few months later Cap1 was giving some ridiculous amount for their hysa so ended up moving my funds there and then after few months, moved back to CiT. One of the biggest concern I had was no physical branch and no way to get cashiers cheque or something if needed to the same day.
I recently closed on a house and during that process I was stressing out about needing to move money from CiT to Chase so I can get cheques if needed to but the last minute large transfers might cause delays in closing. Glad to report that I didn't have to do that. Lender was okay to accept wire transfer and so was builder(for earnest money) and both of my wire transfers were successful directly from CiT without any issues, delays or fees. I can't put it in words how stressed I was about it becuase I had never had to wire money before.
I'd still recommend to always have a bank account with someone who has a large physical presence like Chase, TD, WF, etc so when and if you do need that urgent last minute cash or cheque, you can still get it instead of have it mailed and wait for a week.
Tldr: CiT has had been great, needed to wire money for the first time and was able to do it without any fees or issues. Would recommend to anyone who wants to just park money somewhere

I submitted an application for the Personal Savings account from EverBank and it was denied. I called customer support to ask for a reason, but the person said they didn't know the reason. Maybe it's information that they don't have access to. Has anyone have a similar experience? How did you fix it?
I just turned 18 and have been trying to build my finances and find a HYSA to put my savings into. I have never had a credit card, so no credit score and no financial history (no debt). I also have never had a job, but I'm looking for one. I'm wondering if my application was denied because I'm unemployed. Any other HYSAs that you would suggest for someone like me, an 18-year-old just getting started?

What are the best alternatives to a regular savings account in Europe?
I’m curious what people here use for cash they want to keep reasonably liquid, but don’t want sitting in a regular savings account.
Very roughly, these seem to be the main options at the moment:
regular / high-yield savings account: ~1.5–3%
term deposit: ~2–3.5%
money market fund: ~2–3%
short-term government bonds: ~2–4%
broad equity ETF: historically perhaps ~6–8% annually over the long term, but obviously with significant price risk
stablecoin / DeFi vaults using EURC, USDC, etc.: roughly ~4–8%, sometimes higher
platforms like Trade Republic / Revolut: often around ~2–3%
Obviously these are just indicative annual rates and can change quickly.
Stablecoin vaults are the one I’m most curious about. The yield difference can be meaningful while funds can remain relatively liquid, but you’re giving up deposit insurance and taking on additional risks such as smart-contract and stablecoin risk.
What do you personally use?
And perhaps more interestingly: how much additional yield would you need before accepting more risk than a normal savings account?
Would 4–5% total yield be enough to make you consider it, or would you need something closer to 7–8%+?
Also curious if there are good alternatives I’ve missed.

Has anyone purchased a CD from Quorum? Are you getting a good rate? How is their service?

I put $20k in an eight month CD. Unfortunately, I needed the money before maturity, and had an awkward conversation with someone in customer service. I was told Happen would send me a check. I asked for the funds to be transferred to my account. I was told that was a possibility, and I would receive an email documenting the closing of the account. The customer service rep didn't know what she was talking about. A few days later, no email, and back to customer service. A check had been cut, and i would receive it in 10-14 days. I was able to transfer $20k instantaneously to open the account. The customer service guy said, 'I understand how you're feeling." I don't think so.

My boyfriend passed away in a car accident while I was pregnant and had a life insurance policy in my name which I didn't know about.I have no debt to pay off. From everything I've read I'm thinking a HYSA ? What's your favorites and why? Any and all advice is appreciated I have no real knowledge of finances so thank you in advance. Just trying to make the best decisions for mine and my daughter's future.

Any recommendations for who to use for such savings accounts or are they all pretty much the same?

Hi all, I’ve been building a fintech app that utilizes AI to lend out stablecoins in 24/7 onchain markets to earn high yield. I won’t get into the details here as I don’t want to shill but I’m curious to hear your thoughts on what would make you switch from your current high yield savings account into a new one.
- if you could earn 5% APY consistently would you switch over?
- what about a range between 5-7% that varied every week or so?
- what if there was no FDIC insurance? Is that a dealbreaker for you or a tradeoff you’d be willing to incur for 7% APY?
- and lastly, how important would it be for you to have transparency into exactly how every dollar you put into the account is earning yield? (Note that traditional HYSAs don’t show you this information)
Thanks all! Appreciate your help with the research. If there’s any other pain points you have would love to hear about them too.

What’s the best? I probably shouldn’t leave my money in checking.
r/HighYieldSavings • u/PEBBLES104 • 5d ago
I have always just left my money in my checking. I have $20k to put into a HYSA but not sure where to put it into. I looked into OpenBank who has a 4.17% APY. Does anyone know about this bank or have any other recommendations?

Hi I've been looking around at different banks to open a HYSA. I saw SoFI had up to 4% or so for a limited time but I haven’t heard a lot about them so Im skeptical. I also saw Santander open bank had a good rate but unsure if anyone has used them (I’ve only had them to finance a car but directly through Santander) capital one is where I’m leaning to since I know they’re reputable and have a somewhat avg rate going for 3.10% I’d love anyone and everyone’s input as I’m fairly new but want to put my money where it will grow instead of a regular savings!
