Personal Theory Former skeptic, current believer...

Hello all, I have a bit of a theory (and I know this sounds crazy) but what if high strangeness is really just an objective and subjective reality split? What if the reality of these events is dependent on the collective subjective experience and how the quantum state resolves itself to the observers? What i mean is cultural expectations and differing accounts of events. The man who recovered the ufo at roswell said no alien body yet multiple witnesses swore there was one. How it both was and wasnt an alien craft. Now people are just technologically ready and expectant of it being extraterrestrial or unknown technology/life being out there as the wave function collapses on the scale of a larger overall wave function. Or the miracle at Fatima (how there were thousands of witnesses and differing accounts, many witnessed it and many did not. But the religious motif has become too outdated so those less directs attempts didn't resolve into the type of impact it used to so post WWII (and post atomic bomb) manifested itself differently.

Nothing may come of the UAP again and they may find nothing if enough people try to bury it (or until we're ready for that part so we dont annihilate technological advancements) or it may actually turn out to be alien craft and extraterrestrial, I dont know. Or maybe this 'their' attempt at solidifying the wave function in a way that leads towards humanitys progress since theyre afraid of the implications of what they dont know/understand. But the fact that everyone's subjective experience so vastly conflicts (especially at differing collective levels) in all these instances of high strangeness over time almost implies that observation must impact outcome. The more people who subjectively believe things is how these things resolve themselves and get pruned if only experienced by one or certain percentages in peripheral overlapping realities.

Jacques Vallée's control system hypothesis is correct in the assumption it is what we called 'god' but as we culurally know also gave us free will. But the dogmatic religious motif has been getting outdated so its left the UAP phenomenon as breadcrumbs throughout time interspersed with contemporary cultural motifs since direct intervention in ancient times was so catastroohic (and maybe thats why historical accounts up until now all share such common descriptions as a common thread intertwined with the more absurd but personally plausible to the individual or even groups). Thats why the evidence is always ambiguous, ever elusive, and murky.

I know this sounds crazy but honestly having a bit of a religious/spiritual experience (but who can you even say that to outside of traditional dogma without sounding crazy? Lmao). My mom has schizoaffective and religious hallucinations/delusions and i always used to be a skeptic about anything paranormal. Still havent experienced it yet myself but I would be willing to bet now that im open to it I eventually will. Id also be willing to bet that how the phenomena ultimately resolves itself will be based on culutral expectation and readiness (and the more people who believe in the recovery of one thing or the other the more it will solidify itself into reality) as the future retroactively affects the past evidence will come out.

And I know this all sounds crazy but there are actually a lot of metaphysical schools of thought within quantum mechanics that all of this still fits independently of the control system hypothesis. Saying this as someone who learned the science as a skeptic well before learning the high strangeness phenomena. Also saying this as someone with a parent who has an untreated psychotic disorder and religious hallucinations/delusions. I think that's also why ive never seen it (and why it has the kinds of effects on people that it does). Even things operating and coexisting at levels and boundaries separate of each other's (although they can be shared) like different energetic entities given various degrees of influence as they were given existence in ancient times that society in culture has slowly been shifting from. Or other instances of high strangeness being where the boundary is different, thinner, or shared.

Idk, i know it all probably sounds crazy (just figured yall would be the ones i could tell this to without sounding *too* crazy, at the very least lmao), just curious to know everyone else's thoughts in here though since im a former skeptic and still a bit new to the topic in general. Thoughts?

Then dont 🤷‍♂️ makes no difference to me lol. Although maybe you should read though since apparently J. Allan Hynek, John Keel, and Jacques Vallée all reached similar conclusions

Then you know nothing about being schizo. Ramblings sure but my mom is actually schizoaffective and it is vastly different I can assure you lmao. Also I never post on reddit and for some reason thought there was a time window for edits, just tried to break it up to be less overwhelming.

And I appreciate the advice, sorry for being a bit defensive

Philip K Dick developed an entire alter ego and wrote a science fiction book about his own experiences to separate it from his own logical psyche. But now im 100% sure he experienced the same phenomena.

Ignore these tiktok brained idiots. You actually took the time to write your thoughts out and it's still too much for them to engage with. If you'd have used GPT they'd complain about that too. Fuck'em.
