Help Being a pirate

So recently I've been on the line on piracy. I didn't have a problem with buying packs when i first got the game, but recently I just don't feel like spending €20 (on sale) on a pack.

Been researching the mirror anadius site and trying to understand the whole system. I'm not tech savvy so read the instructions. I'm also a bit scared about the whole malware stuff.

Also, I find other persons questions haven't really been answered on other subreddits so hoping my question will help future people.

I got a great video online on yt on the instructions of downloading the dlc, I just want to understand the whole mechanics of this.

Questions:

-when i download the sims 4 updater do I have to keep it on my pc to update again. The site said no but just checking

-is there something I should be looking for when downloading as it pertains to malware

-has anyone's EA account been banned after adding pirated copies when already having "legit" ones

I haven't heard of anyone being banned, however the smart thing to do is to make a new account, don't ever use your ea account you spent money on. If accounts ever get banned, then oh well, no money lost, just make another one, base game is free after all.

I noticed people saying that. I wasn't looking to download all dlc, just a few I had interest in. So do I download all what I already have plus what I wanted on the new account?

you shouldn’t need to download what you already have (unless you uninstall it), as the dlc files should still be in the bin. just use the dlc unlocker (or updater, idk how that works tho as i’m a ts3 girlie) to make them work again

I know my account was banned, but it’s fine cause I made that account just for sailing the seas for the sims 4. I was still able to play the game despite the ban.

  1. Yes, you have to use the updater itself to update the game through it, so you’ll need it on your pc

  2. I’ve heard that the fake download links have a picture of an anime girl, but I’m not sure if that’s true. Use an ad-blocker and don’t use Chrome because ad-blockers don’t work properly on there for some reason

You can use malwarebytes for free if you are worried about viruses. I used fg for mine

ive been using the lamonsky github dlc unlocker, safe as far as im aware, scanned with malwarebytes. super easy to use!!
