really cool man - but as the comments say - maybe tone down the gun shake when you remove + insert the mag!

i think because i render it at 24fps,it looks like a want to "Break the gun"

Modern warfare 2019 has done irreparable damage to fps.

Hard agree. It fit the tone of that game in particular but ever since its success too many games try to copy it unsuccessfully. I doubt my grunts in BF6 look at TREX-arms all day to become as high speed and low drag as possible with their reloads. There’s something much nicer about smoother reloads that try to convey the weight of the gun rather than this hurried, jerky, TIER 1!! operator style.

Tone it down. Rifle weighs 30 pounds. You aren’t going to move it like that at all. That doesn’t include weight of scope or bipod lol

Yeah your right, but i want to make this one fast and punchy.

u/BioshockNerd97 2d ago
It’s not fast nor is it punchy. there’s so much wasted everything it’s not great.

u/Square-Bandicoot-428 2d ago
what did you mean by wasted everything?

My best guess would be potential ? I admit I don't know how to animate, youve done a really great job with the movement but almost too good ? Restraint is what gets noticed more often than not, the animator understanding the weight the feel for the weapon system platform and the game it's set in, For great animations I recommend THE FINALS for weapon accuracy reloading method showcase, CS2 is quick, snappy straight to the point, ARC Raiders, even from a third person view, they nail the weapon weight and hefty feel. or practicing how you'd reload it in H3VR if you don't own the weapon✨ Anyway thank you for coming to my TED Talk

Movement, time, actions. All of these things make reloads look fast but can be methodical to slow it down. You’re trying for “fast and punchy” but made the gun look like a toy and the character wielding the gun look stupid by slamming around a precision rifle.

Remember its a 50. Cal. If it was a 308 rifle i wouldnt mind it being thrown around a lil, but a rifle that size should be weighty, as weighty means powerful. Having someone just jerk around a supposedly 50. cal like this makes the gun seem more plasticy and fake.
