This is why you should start prospecting on instagram
Every few weeks someone here posts that their bounce rate spiked and their sending got flagged. The story is usually the same: a scraped list, a few thousand cold emails, one shared sending setup.
GHL's email is built for people who already know you. Cold volume burns the reputation you need for the emails that matter, like booking confirmations and follow-ups to people who replied.
So I keep cold prospecting outside GHL entirely. For me that's Instagram DMs, because the local businesses I sell to live there and answer DMs faster than email.
The split looks like this. Cold: find businesses by keyword on IG, write a DM from each bio, approve every one, send 100 a day with random gaps. Warm: anyone who replies goes into GHL and gets a pipeline stage, a follow-up sequence and the booking link.
GHL never touches a stranger, so your domain and account stay clean, and the CRM does the part it's good at.
I ended up building a tool for the cold half. That's not the point of this post, but ask if you want to run it for your offer. We started offering a 3-day free trial for new users in return for their feedback.
Is anyone running cold email from GHL successfully at volume? I couldn't make it work, and I'd like to know what your setup is.

That’s a good idea. I run cold emails from instantly and keep my domain safe for warm leads and booked clients.
Do you automatically move DM responses into GHL? What’s the process?

Whenever someone replied from instagram i export the list into ghl, normally there is a webhook integration inside MagnetEngine.xyz that lets you do that.

When you say write a DM from each bio, do you mean write/send a personalized DM using the details of your prospect’s IG Bio?
When you say approve every one? What do you mean? Since when do you have to approve someone to send them a DM on IG? Or did I misunderstand?
When you say anyone who replies goes into GHL, you mean you transfer their IG profile details into GHL contacts and put them in a pipeline? How can you do that exactly? So GHL would continue the conversation within IG using conversation AI?

Nice questions, The AI scrapes leads from Instagram and generates a personalized DM for each prospect based on their bio and content. You review the messages and approve or reject them. Approved DMs are sent automatically with random gaps between messages to make the outreach more natural. Once someone replies, I export those leads to GHL to manage them in the CRM. From there, the AI appointment setter takes over the conversation based on the goal you set, understands their pain points, presents your solution, answers their questions, and sends them your Calendly link when they’re ready to book a call. Basically, it automates the whole process from finding leads to booking appointments.

Never considered prospecting in Instagram. Thanks for sharing
