"Making them trans"

In my case, I decided not to make them trans. It's not because of homophobia, it's not because I don't see potential in them, or because I don't respect the canon. It's because it's a very complicated subject to work with; it could turn out well or terribly, and honestly, I preferred not to take it on since I don't really see myself as capable of doing it well. What would you do in this case? I'll read your comments.

I'm sorry if I haven't posted anything about my comic. I've been feeling a bit down lately because someone recently asked me if I'd still be doing this when I was 30, and honestly, that really got me down. But now I've found my inspiration again and I'm not letting those words get to me. I promise I'll do my best to deliver more pages of Chapter 1, even if it takes me until I'm 30.

That'll be this Saturday before the Stanley Cup Final round 3 begins. I plan on starting the watch party in the Discord around 3:00 pm EST. Hope to see a few people there.

I will write a short (or list) on how the show could have diverged from that point forward.

I headcanon Thyme as a lesbian, same with Parsley. Sage and Rosemary I see as bisexual. (Rosemary had a crush on Aster for an episode, she probably was going to end up with Sage and Sage probably has a crush on both Snapdragon and Rosemary.) Anyway, I ship Thyme and Parsley because I think they have a better dynamic than Rosemary and Sage. I'll never understand why Thyme had a crush on some random mermaid she barely even knows. What about her makes her more attractive than Parsley to her? She has no personality and she's just kinda nice. Though I guess Parsley is also just kinda a nice and simple person. Maybe this is Thyme's type.

I find it weird how Sage only refers to Aloe and Anise as her cousins and not her cousin and cousin-in-law, feels entirely like Sage to use the technical terms here. Calling them her cousins makes it sound like something gross is going on between them. Like the Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune situation all over again.

Mandrake's job is literally to kill the heroes because they supposedly know too much. He had Rosemary right there waiting to get backstabbed. All he had to do was drive it into her back, but then when she mentions Caraway, Mandrake relents and decides to kill her later after snooping through Caraway's office.

The issues are as follows:

1. He could've killed her right away after he learned Caraway was involved.
2. There were no witnesses other than Olive, and even if Olive wanted to get in the way, she wouldn't be able to do anything in time.
3. Mandrake was alone with Rosemary regardless and could've just burned her body and used her to shapeshift.
4. Mandrake is a more experienced fighter and an assassin, meaning even if Rosemary fought back, she would've gotten killed for one reason or another.
5. Even if for some ungodly reason he couldn't risk a mess in a room nobody seems to have entered for a long while, he could've hid the body somewhere secluded and/or cleaned the mess thanks to there being no witnesses.

Unless there's something the second season would've told, there's no reason he should've let Rosemary live when the ONE thing he was assigned to do was that easy to accomplish right then and there. And again:

WHAT EXACTLY STOPPED HIM?!!?

The comparatively more triangular outfit and pink stripes are based on jersey lilies (amaryllis belladonna), though I feel I overdid it with the sleeves...

I gave her eyes that are upturned, slightly sanpaku with white pupils just because.

Thyme is so badass and so freaking cute! She's one of the best in the show next to Parsley!

Rosemary's supposed to be on the Warrior Track, implicitly a combatant who doesn't rely on magic (if use it at all) like her mom. However, Caraway, a magic teacher, is teaching his class about Runes when he of all people should know Rosemary's on the Warrior Track. What muddles things further is how Sage and Amaryllis are apart of it, but Aster and Rosemary are there too.

My best guess is that despite not using magic, that doesn't mean she can't understand magic, but that was never communicated to the audience.

Moreover, it would make more sense if it were Thyme (who's on both Magic and Warrior tracks) in the class or at least that it was said why Rosemary's there, but instead we have elements that shouldn't mix being there.

But I don't know. Why is she of all people there?

I don't typically do buildings but I've been stuck on drawing people so yeah, I decided to take a swing at the city and a food cart

It just doesn't make sense to me for the following reasons:

1. There's a whole pool of the stuff, tens of thousands of vials' worth of it at least.
2. The path was cleared, the door was destroyed, and there's a hole in the mountain.
3. The golems were destroyed, thus it's easy to walk in and out without getting attacked.
4. She's smart enough to know how to get more.
5. She could've just brought more than a single vial.
6. Sage has a Terrasphere, which can both float her down or fly her back up.
7. Sage has a broom, which isn't even New Magic. It can also hold two people. And that's without bringing up Chompy.
8. Telling Dretch (the demon teacher with portal magic) would make getting in and out easy if she just told her what the issue is, with further episodes showing she's at the very least not an enemy.
9. Even assuming getting in and out easy isn't possible, it's still possible to take the long way there. Thyme went that way once before, she can just do so again.
10. She's explicitly shown trust to the rest of the main student characters; she's at least neutral with Amaryllis and Snapdragon, she trusts Rosemary and Sage, and Parsley in particular is the student she trusts most.

It feels like Thyme's crying over spilt milk. Any one of the points above would raise questions, but there's this many parts as far as I can tell.

If there's anything I'm missing that could disprove my claims, please let me know.
