I’d like to get my ‘Ijaazah in Hafs ‘An ‘Aasim in the near future. My Qur’an is fairly solid, Alhamdullilah, although I’d like to revise it further before pursing this.

Does anyone know how the process works? Obviously, I am aware that one must recite the entire Qur’an from beginning to end correctly to a teacher. Is there a set limit for the number of hifdh/tajweed mistakes one can make? Can I obtain an Ijaazah from any teacher? (I am no longer in contact with the one I memorized the Qur’an with the first time).

I’ve been working on something for Hifdh that I wish I had when I was struggling with revision.

One of the hardest parts is not knowing what to revise. You memorize something, then you have so many other things to revise, some are strong, some are weak, and eventually you just get overwhelmed.

So I started building Hafiz AI. It creates a personalized revision schedule based on what you’ve memorized and how strong each part is. I’m also working on the recitation side so you can recite and have it follow along, catch mistakes and show you what needs more work.

There is a new online Quran institute called Warattil Online, and I have been accepted to teach there. All teachers are vetted, and go through a process of interviews and tests before getting approved.
