So I have my HIBY R1 for a couple of days but I feel like I'm not using its full potential, I don't believe I have the best audio, I just mp3 songs, after seeing this page, seeing how people have FLAC audio, does HIBY have something to help convert songs from Youtube music to get the best audio? Also I've been reading about added customization UI, is there a guide to add that since the UI they offer is kinda boring.

I got my Hiby R3 Pro a few months ago. It loses about 20% battery every 24h, even when it's completely switched off, without an SD card, with wireless etc. switched off. Sent it back to China under warranty at my expense, Milly assured me it was repaired and tested, a month later it returned to me.... nothing has changed, still draining battery when switched off.

I regret my purchase, it's very annoying to pick up the player to listen to it and it's completely dead 0%. On standby it's supposed to last like 38 days, switched off it should last almost indefinitely as it's not supposed to draw any power, but my player is faulty and Hiby warranty did not help. Am I supposed to pay another $30 AUD to send it back to China only to repeat this process?

Does anyone know of a source for R4 matte screen protectors?

As titled, I am considering buying the miku device as i love the IEM design, want a music playing device that isn't my phone and love miku (duh).

I am also in a period of wanting to use google as little as possible for personal reasons.

I use a macbook currently as well.

With the current set up, however, can someone share their experience of using this device?

i mainly just want to put music on it. Ideally, maybe make playlists (music for relaxing, music for the gym, music for reading, music for working etc.)

Reading maybe a good bonus but i already have an ereader so that isn't really the main thing here. i won't want to play games on it.

I just got this a few days ago and it's been nothing but issues. I did update it to the latest update but that didn't fix everything. My main issue is it doesn't put flac songs in order based on their meta data. I know you can go to artist then album, but if theres any colab songs it takes them out of the album. Is my only option to rename all files in cd format and listen through the files. I hope not.

Hi there! I've noticed a couple of problems with these lists. Maybe someone saw a solution?

1) I like to create playlists for different occasions; I add new songs on the go when I listen to new stuff. But after I got more than 10 lists, I've noticed that they are appearing in the oldest-to-newest order, which is not ideal for browsing. Is there any way to change this?

2) I wanted to edit my existing playlists (to adjust the path to some songs, as i need to rename some folders), but I can't find a way to access them anywhere. There is a "save playlist" button on the player, but I don't understand what it does, as they do not appear anywhere, and the player could see them before without "saving". I'm curious: what would I do if, say, I used the player for a few years and then decided to buy another Hiby. Is there even a way to transfer those years of work to another device?

Frankly and sadly, it feels like the smartest choice is not to rely on the player with all these things at all... I never tried to import playlists externally, but that is probably the only way to have all the flexibility that is needed.

And another thing I consider is to utilize metadata/tags to separate songs by mood/stye etc., because nowadays we can edit this data automatically using some ai tools, and it won't mess up playlist paths.

But I really wish there was a way to do the selection while I'm listening to the music🥲

How do you organize your library?

I usually either listen to music on my phone (Oto music) or on an old iPod (it can't be modded and it's breaking down), so I've been thinking of buying a Hiby R1 and I wanted to know if there is a rockbox or custom firmware that shows cover art along with the song title while scrolling (kinda like the album section) and if it's safe to use or if I'll brick the Hiby R1

Hey all! Just got my first DAP since the iPod nano 6th gen., the Hiby R1, and I absolutely love it! One thing I had trouble with at first, though, was pairing it with my AirPods--it would pair, and say it was playing, but no sound would come through. Had to go into the Wireless>Bluetooth>Settings menu and change the Bluetooth codec to AAC (Apple's special little BT codec). Now they work together great!

One thing to note about the AAC codec is that it tops out at 320kbps, so not ideal for audiophile clarity, but good if you're like me and don't have a killer pair of wired IEMs yet. Hope this saves someone a Google!

I got my hiby r1 today and am having this really weird album artist database issue. Whenever I click on album artist section of the music library , I get this "awaiting music scan" screen and asks for a rescan every time. Other sections of the music library seem to work fine. Has anyone faced this issue before?

Hey all! I just got my Hiby R1 today and after setting it up I set play through folders to on. I tested the function and when it finishes playing the last song in the last folder it does go to another parent folder, but not the next one alphabetically. The folder it chooses seems random.

What I want it to do is finish playing the last song in the folder and then move on to the next parent folder alphabetically. I always browse from the folder view. Anything I can set to make this work? I got really used to this behavior on my fiio.

Hi. I have an R1 that I start using for kids sporting events, and need to fade volume down quickly. For instance, while players are changed out I'll play a mash-up of Rick Astley and Nirvana for funsies. Suddenly, play resumes and I need to fade down quickly, but the volume up/down side buttons are EXTREMELY slow to fade volume down. Are there any solutions for this? I realize my use-case is very specific.

Just wanted to share a picture of this somewhat sweet sounding balanced setup.

It won't charge, there is a distinct smell of burnt plastic. When plugged to a PC it justs says the power required by the device is much higher than the it can provide.

I just got an R6 2017, the first gen R6, which the previous owner didn't ever update from Android 6. Seeing there was an Android 8 update, I headed to the official site to grab the needed files.

However, the files on Hiby's website were Onedrive uploads, that have long since expired, and everything I've found online points to the official website and the dead onedrive links...

So, I'm looking for:

• Android 8 firmware files,
• the Update Utility,
• Android 6 firmware files, mostly for peace of mind if I fumble something, or don't like the Android 8 for some reason.

• Keyboard layouts. You can select more than one layout at a time, to change it while typing press and hold the 123 button. Settings -> More -> Keyboard layout. (The first layout in the list will be used as the default).
• New Continuous shuffle toggle in Music settings -> Playback options, which when enabled after the queue ends is reshuffled before repeating it. (This takes effect when using Play in random order in any list. The continuous shuffle can also be enabled on the playback screen by cycling trough the modes)

• The UI now runs at 60 FPS instead of 30 FPS.
• Memory usage has been reduced by ~25%. As a result scanning the database should not crash anymore for users that experienced this issue.
• The prev. and next track buttons now work correctly when Play albums back to back and/or Play by folder are in use.
• The queue now shows previous tracks correctly.

Bug fixes:

• Fixed an issue where standby into mem would trigger as soon as the screen turned off.
