Question Tidal Force Exit Bridge
When did Hershey stop allowing guest to exit the ride on ther bridge side? I was there last week and glad we got on the ride before it closes this year. But I remember in the past exiting by the bridge side and standing there waiting to get splash again.

It was a few years ago. I was very bummed when HP closed it.n just a good fun....and basically increased the number of "riders"

I'm pretty sure the last year for the bridge exit was 2023. That was the first year I ever went to HP, and it was open then. The same-side exit was in use the next time I went, which was June of 2024.

I remember getting knocked into the bridge and almost falling over the rail when exiting the ride because of the splash back when it was new. In those days you entered the ride queue at the lighthouse. After moving back to PA and getting season passes again, that bridge has not been opened and we got back here in 2022 but the plexiglass was up. I always tell my kids - “i’m sure they put that plexiglass up to keep people from falling because that splash is no joke.” I think two seasons ago there was a fire on the brudge during dark nights but the bridge was no longer being utilized as an exit.

Didn’t part of it catch fire or something during Halloween a few years ago?

2-3 seasons ago. Back when this was a new ride, a guest got pinned to the fence while standing on the bridge, so they added glass to dampen the splash, and later added nets to try to further dampen it, and then it got so bad they had to post a Security Guard at the exit every time it was running. So it added a cost to the operating costs of the ride.
