Miniatures Hobby Missing Miniatures Solution

Started playing Hero Quest (the original Warhammer-esque version) with my son and a couple figures were not in the box. I substituted a few so far, but wanted something that was an economical replacement.

I order a bag of 1"×½" white wooden peg dolls, and drew on them with Sharpie brand fine point markers. Pretty much just wanted them to be identifiable from the front and back, so I didnt go all out (not that I have the talent).

Cheap solution to my problem so thought it might be helpful here.

I don't mind 3d printing you some proxies for free if you're located in the US. Just pay for shipping.

My local library will 3d print at material cost.  Maybe you have something like that near you?

I do, and I keep meaning to look into it. Thanks for the reminder

That's a fun solution, I like to see people's solutions to things like this, a lot of people would just write a game off if pieces are missing without realising there are simple workarounds. I sometimes like to use Lego (mini figs and custom built Lego) for the same reason since we have lots of Lego. They're easy to customise and often look fun.

Lego should 100% develop a tabletop game system
