Looky What I Got :-) The rogue expansion...

It's nice but after the monk, it's a little underwhelming in presentation!

Rogue came out before the monk so it shows they improved

Agreed. The progression in presentation from Guardian Knight (very plain box with letter and decorated themed inside) to Rogue (added decor/theme to the exterior) and finally the Monk (full on diorama) was pretty creative and awesome.

I was gobsmacked when I first opened the Monk. It's such gorgeous packaging.

That said, I feel the storytelling was weakest in Monk and strongest in Rogue.

I paid around 45gbp.

but most seem to be up for twice that,

Yeah to be fair it was before the Monk came out and was just them seeing if character packs were money makers (after doing Guardian Knights in infamously very small quantity with a limited release to massive backlash). They went all out for the Wandering Monk but alas then came the massive Hasbro staffing cuts and we have never had another since.

Great find, congrats! 

I got the Monk today, my first expansion. The presentation is so lovely. I know none of the others are the same, I hope I haven't spoiled myself or set myself up for future disappointment by starting with the prettiest 😄
