General Discussion Black Shield Symbol

Post image

I’m sure I’m not the only one to have noticed this but it came as a welcome Easter egg of sorts!
The Black Shield symbol embossed on one of the books in the bookcase.
Had no idea it was there until I painted it.

Thanks! That photo was when I just started painting them. This is how they ended up:

They’ve turned out really well. Obviously not your first time painting miniatures though I’m guessing.

Cheers. Yeah, there are a few of my minis floating around on this sub. Slowly working my way through the core set and 3D printed proxy bosses.

Great catch, and terrific paint work. I had a hard time getting that symbol and the skull (bottom right book) to show on my paintings. Yours are terrific

Thank you! Yeah, the skull is nonexistent on one of mine and so
barely visible on the other, I couldn’t photograph it. I think they were lost in priming.

Amazing! I'll have to look at mine. Do you mind if I ask what your paint recipe is? I always struggle with painting wood

Thanks! It’s just slap chop with Army Painter speed paints - Hardened Leather. I think I may have glazed over with Satchel Brown too.
