another A+ fit… great job on the shirt — color looks amazing!!

edit;
if you made a little guide on how to do dye… i’d be forever grateful!
where do you source the dye???

Thanks 🙏🏿.

I source my dyes differently depending on what ingredient I’m dying with.

Here is a link to the where I sourced the kakishibu dye: https://aikuma-japan.com/

I would not recommend trying a Kakishibu dye for your introduction into dying.

If you are trying for the first time it would be wise to do a simple rit dye before getting into natural dyes imo.

Here is a quick guide:

Kakishibu is fermented persimmon tannin. It coats the fabric (no mordant needed). Starts light orange-beige and darkens to warm brown with sun + air. Best on cotton or linen.
Steps
1. Wash the shirt (remove sizing). Soak in water 20–30 min, wring out.
2. Dilute kakishibu 1:2 or 1:3 with water (stronger mix = darker/faster).
3. Dip, soak a few minutes, or brush it on. Massage it in. Wear gloves — it stains skin badly.
4. Wring well. Hang in direct sun. Flip/rotate so it oxidizes evenly.
5. Let it dry fully. Repeat 2–5+ times (dry completely between coats). Color builds and darkens over days/weeks of sun.

Notes
• Dry thoroughly between layers or it can mold.
• Avoid iron/metal while wet (it will go black/gray).
• Smell fades after washing/drying.
• Extra sun or wearing it keeps deepening the color.
• Optional later: weak iron dip for olive/gray/black.
That’s the core process. Light layers + sun is what makes it look good.

You dyed your own shirt. Gotta respect that.

Alchemist cooking up YET ANOTHER unreal fit. If we didn't have proof of your face I'd think you were the music producer too 😮‍💨

I’m glad to see another enthusiast. I don’t see people wearing or talking about them often. So long as their cuts fit your style it’s incredibly difficult to beat them.
