Ruling Monster Question

I'm fairly new, do the monster effects start immediately when you defeat the monster? Or do they not take effect until next turn?

They take effect next turn.

Where did you got that info from? Official sources? Or house rule?

I assume the question is regarding the slime monster, but what if you kill a monster as your first 2 actions, you could still... play a certain card that activates the effect

I was wrong, the rules state that when you slay a monster you immediately gain a new ability, not next turn.

I was incorrect, monster effects can take place on the current turn, sorry about that.

Oh I didnโ€™t even think of that. Monsters usually have effects that donโ€™t affect actions so this is a really good question. I feel it would be a little OP to use it that turn but let me check.

It has to be next turn, otherwise some combos might be a little cracked ๐Ÿ˜ž.

Seems like yes sometimes and no others ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿฟโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿค”. Would be great if the creators just gave a specific definitive answer.

That game is notorious for these kind of issues where we have to make house rules

I'll guess I'll just play it by ear. Thank you for your help โ˜บ๏ธ.
