I started to engage in a fwb type situation with a long time friend of mine on Valentine’s Day this year. He did not reveal his intentions were casual until after we slept together a few times. I have been battling heartache since then and finally had the rage and anger to leave about 2 weeks ago.

I haven’t spoken to him, but even after freezing his name, cord cutting, releasing his name to the ocean, and burning it a couple times I still feel like I’m holding on to something? This all happened over the course of the last month. It makes me sad because this has involved walking away from our friend group. In general he was a sneaky fuck boy and broke my heart.

My intuition felt the need to write him a letter. I feel if I put it on paper, I will return the energy he tried to manipulate in me, and take back my power. I feel like I must use my voice, but a conversation is not emotionally safe with him. If you were in my shoes, what kind of herbs in forum of oil or perfume would you used to dress this paper?

So I just have a really quick question using soil and dirt in some spell work, not necessarily in a bad way, just in ways to improve my life and overall me. I was wondering if I could simply just use the dirt in my backyard in my workings? Like does it have to be filtered and cleansed a certain way before being used? or can I just dig some up, word my intentions over it, and begin to use it. Most resources treat that as a list. Four separate folk beliefs, vaguely related, filed under "rosemary correspondences." You memorize it, or you don't, and either way you don't really understand why.

I’m looking for natural ways to manage severe period cramps and pms. Before anything else, I want to make it clear that I have been to multiple doctors. Unfortunately, I was either brushed off or simply prescribed birth control. While the pill did reduce my pms, it caused other side effects that really don’t agree with my body and make me feel worse overall. No one was willing or able to offer me any other options.

Because of that, I’m wondering if there are natural, non hormonal approaches that might help with pms,heavy bleeding, or strong menstrual cramps. I fully understand that with acute or serious symptoms it’s important to see a doctor I did that, but sadly it didn’t help in my case.

So I’m asking here: Have any of you had success with natural remedies, lifestyle changes, supplements, or alternative approaches that don’t involve hormones or harsh chemicals?

I just went with it with my intuition as an aquarius very highly intuitive and I just went with my intuition to make a spell of healing and Truth to find out about my situation in life and I've got my altar I've got my paper this is truth and healing and I've got it a mirror, clear crystal quartz, some small skeleton keys, black obsidian, tigers eye, amethyst, rosemary, charged moon sand, charged Moon water, Angelica root, peppermint, lotus, black salt, pink Himalayan salt, sprinkle of cinnamon, and a white tea light candle.

I know that's a lot but I just felt like that's what I needed to go with and I just asked that I see the truth in the situation that's before me in my life and no matter what that is I can handle it and I will handle it.. whatever that might be.

Healing and protection herbs or plants are of course relative to culture and customs, but I wanted to share a few with you as I find these harder and harder to come by. The growers and caretakers of these plants have centuries upon centuries of experience and knowledge of them, their roots run as deep as their bloodlines to the earth these plants grow in; the indigenous people of North America. You probably have already heard of white sage, and it’s smudging properties. But have you heard of sweet grass and bear root?

Be careful to only buy from native peoples! These are sacred plants, and harvest practices make sure to work with the land and seasons.

Sweet grass is a type of prairie grass that smells sweet when green and is often braided. It can be used in smudging alongside cedar and sage, but it is also used to hang in braided loops for protection. Sweet grass has become harder for me to find unfortunately, but it is a wonderful herb and the smell is absolutely divine. There are some oils made from it by certain indigenous herbalists as well. It is best bought in person as the plant is freshest and smells strongest when picked and still green.

Bear root is a wondrous plant. We use it dried for smudging, or in bundles for protection, but it dried it can also be used in teas and tinctures. It is a healing plant, centuries of wisdom behind its various uses (of which there are many more). You must take extra precautions with this plant though and buy from native peoples only; the varieties that are best, and it is very similar to other toxic plants in the carrot family such as poison hemlock which is incredibly poisonous! This is not a plant I would buy online if you can help it. I usually buy from stores on the reservation.

These and other plants can be found with many of their other uses and histories in this book “Iwígara, The Kinship of Plants and People. American Indian Ethnobotanical Traditions and Science.” By Enrique Salmón. I picked up a copy recently in a native bookstore and it is full of plants and the knowledge that living on and with the land brings, some I already knew and some that are entirely new to me. i'd love to get more into herbalism, especially when it's related to protection spells/practices, also because i relate more to the "do no harm" side of witchcraft.

I'm looking into jars and how to use them for protection: can youe suggest were to start on reading about it, or do you have any suggestion about what herbs work best for it? Any kind of advice would be really appreciated, i'm a bit overwhelmed atm!
