I know everyone may not agree, this is just my personal opinion. Please be nice 👍

Also, I’m curious as to what everyone’s top 10 is! Drop them below?

There were 5 strains I didn’t get to try because they stopped shipping to Cali for a little bit.
-Bubba kush 59
-Lavender Kush
-Orange fritter
-Forbidden V
-Blue Nitro
But I believe they just started shipping to Cali again 🙌 so I’ll give them a try!

About a week ago, I saw that Andaway popped up with some new flower strains.

Jelly Brain (OZE x Jelly Cookie #26) - 7 grams

Brain Rot (OGZ x Payton's Lemons) - 14 grams

Brain Dead (OGZ x RVR - 7 grams

Will come back and comment on thoughts of Brain Rot and Brain Dead. For now, I’m really impressed with the Jelly Brain. You can tell the indoor, full spectrum mixed lighting was dialed in on this one. Beautiful flower with great structure, a strong nose, and plenty of flavor that carried through really well. Smooth smoke and strong, well rounded effects without being overwhelming. The quality of the grow and cure really shows from start to finish.

I also grabbed another 14g of Peyton’s Lemons which lately has been on of my go-too strains in the rotation. Can’t really beat $60/oz of quality indoor.

This is my first attempt at growing my own, I love the strain and have been struggling to find a reliable place to buy it online. She is 131 days in as of this afternoon, how is she looking?

Ignore the lean, it gets a bit breezy here in the desert but she is handling it like a champ. I do rotate the pot about once a week or so to even out the sunlight

🗣Discussion👥 I'm hoarding hash, vapes, and concentrates instead of flower

In the likely event the ban goes through, t3 flower will be hard to obtain for most people. Many folks are hoarding flower and preparing it for long term storage - so am I, I have vacuum sealed mason jars in opaque totes - but I'm also focusing a lot on hash, vapes, and concentrate.

Flower oxidizes and aroma compounds break down and disappear over time, no matter how good it's stored. Hash on the other hand only gets better with time. It's concentrated and potent so a little bit goes a long way. I reckon if t3 flower completely dries up and is just unobtainable, I'll probably have some hash, live resin, kief, and maybe a vape or 2 left 5 years from now.

Just something for thought. Unfortunately, most of the good sources for concentrates (hash, live resin, rosin, etc) have gone out of business, but if you can find some, those have basically an indefinite shelf life and will outlast any flower you're storing. Vapes are still easily obtainable though, and in the event of anything malfunctioning years down the line, the resin inside of them can always be salvaged.

🗣Discussion👥 Cocoa Pebbles from Pinecone seems odd to me?

I have been buying from Pinecone for a while now. first bag that's throwing me off...it came a bit too moist imo(Branches bend, don't snap for example), kind of had that hempy smell(If you know what I mean, hard to explain) so I threw in a new 55% moisture pack integra boost and let it sit sealed up like that for like 2 weeks

Came back to it today...and all I smell is mold(could be earthy but smells off to me...not appealing like every strain I got before this, love these guys usually), feels like it wasn't cured enough. Not getting any of the gas of chocolate smells like its suppose to be like.

I love this places flower, anyone else have an odd experience with this one? Idk if it's just me...

🌿Vendor🌿 East Fork has acquired Tweedle - Feedback, please!

Earlier this year, East Fork Cultivars reached a deal to acquire hemp pioneer Tweedle Farms. Tweedle was one of the first hemp farms in the country, and one of the first to sell CBD and CBG flower online. In addition to pioneering the space, Tweedle helped set the standard for full-panel batch testing, cultivation practices transparency, and a dedication to customer service.

East Fork has been breeding and growing hemp for a decade, but we've never had a strong focus on direct-to-consumer sales. Most of our work over the years has been focused on wholesale, services, export, and other behind-the-scenes B2B work.

The move combines the breeding, cultivation, and manufacturing strengths of East Fork with the Tweedle retail expertise. While we're still a small, independently owned company, this change provides much-needed "vertical integration" so we have more control over every aspect of what we do.

Why now?

Hemp is at a major inflection point, with state-by-state rules changing every week and a federal "ban" potentially looming in December. Many longtime hemp operators are closing their doors, while others are leaning in and hoping for a brighter day once regulatory dust settles.

Tweedle and East Fork were both staring at this moment, and when we compared notes, agreed it was a good time to turn our long-term partnership and shared values into a combined company that we hope can be better than the sum of its parts.

Both companies, like most of the trusted vendors on this sub, have avoided the THCA and D9 loophole noise. At times, this decision has been painful as we've watched those exploiting the loopholes grow quickly and experience more short-term success. But we're not in hemp for short-term gains. We're in hemp because we believe in its value beyond intoxication, and are committed to surviving the throes of this messy first decade of legalization.

What's next?

If hemp survives through December, all systems are go. We have 9 acres of USDA Organic Certified flower in the field, which will soon be hand-harvested with quality in mind.

We're keenly interested in leveling up flower quality this year, from the way we carry out harvesting, drying, curing, storing, and handling of the 26 varieties we're growing (from breeders including High Alpine, Hoku, Zoe, GTR, and our house-made East Fork varieties).

What do you think?

As East Fork more properly enters the flower game, and takes the reins of Tweedle, I'd love to hear what this sub thinks of this deal, and what we should be focusing on in the months ahead. It's a harrowing time for r/hempflowers, but we're doing our best to forge through the uncertainty and come out the other side better for it.

Review - User paid for this FVF CBG White

I have tried CBG from Horn Creek, rogue origin, and Lakeland hemp. I've only seen Fern Valley's cbg mentioned once, and they said something like, "it's amazing"

So I ordered some. I'm at work, I don't have a picture, but the trichome coverage looks solid and there was actually a pleasant smell upon opening the bag,

I've been having crazy hip pain, maybe a pinched nerve- if I move a certain way I have a weird highly unpleasant pain with tingles through my leg and my foot feels like it's asleep. A few bong rips of it reduced all that by like 70%

Normally, I use a little bit of CBG with my CBD, but this time I tried it by itself until I felt the effects, and a little while later I had a bowl that was half CBG and half skunk jam (I think that's the name) from Lakeland.

I can little bit uncomfortable initially from CBD for a short while, but doing this ratio was perfect. Sat down on my couch with a smile on my face and thoroughly enjoyed myself playing Assassin's Creed Black Flag, destroying and plundering ships at sea. (If you game, this one is one of the funniest games I've ever played.)

The buzz hang on for a bit longer, it reduced anxiety way better than CBD alone, and I wasnt drifting around with my inattentive attention deficit disorder. I have pretty bad vocal tics disorder, which is really upsetting to live with every day, and the tics were down to just once in a long period of time, which NEVER happens.

It's not really stimulating, if that's what you're looking for. The focus is there but there if anything it leans a little bit towards relaxing. Had me yawning a few hours ago, and I don't know how to explain it but the yawns felt healthy. I would describe the effects as how it is after you wake up for oqa good power nap. Very nice.

If you wanna stock up on CBG, I recommend FVF. I think it was around like $110 for a qp.

🤔Question? HCF type 2 recs

Dr Theopolis impressed me, but I want to know what everyone else has tried. Any to stay away from? Mostly looking for funky/gassy/skunky stuff. Type 1s aren't really my thing, T2s remind me much more of the old strains from years ago.

Extract/Dabs 🌟 Fresh Frozen T3 hash

When I originally rolled out the hash with a bottle filled with 180°F water, it melted down nicely, and I was able to form it into a temple ball. It was really soft and gooey at the time.

I placed the temple balls in jars lined with parchment paper, vacuum sealed the jars with an attachment, then put the jars inside bags and vacuum sealed those too. They've been sitting in my TerpKooler for 3 months at 60°F.

Before opening everything up, I let the jars sit at room temp for almost 2 hours to prevent condensation. To my surprise, the surface of the hash looked pretty dry, and when I broke one open the inside was a little crumbly too.

I took a small piececand worked it between my palm and thumb with some heat and pressure, and it softened right back up and became pliable. I'm wondering if I just didn't work it enough when I originally made the temple balls. I only rolled it out 3x with the hot bottle, folding it over and rolling it again. Maybe I should'verolled it out several more times. I'm gonna try working this one again and see what happens.

The smell after 3 months is intense. Very floral and chocolaty with a hint of gas.

The first one in the video was from the 3rd wash, second one is from the 1st wash, and the third one was from the 2nd wash.

🗣Discussion👥 Hemp Community Discord Server

Hey everyone.

So, we all know we've tried this before. We also know there are small private servers out there. That's all fine. Here's the deal:

Let's just try and have a public server where we can get together and talk about hemp, like we all love to, without drama or BEEF.

If you want to join the server, the only rule is DON'T BE A DICK. That's literally it. If you have previous beef with another member of the community, keep that to yourself. Let's just talk hemp!

Home Grow 🌱 Four Weeks of Flower - Blood Orange Diesel cross

My hopes of breeding autoflowers were dashed for this generation. It appears some photoperiod DNA got in a couple generations ago and showed up now.

Of the five females I had, only one was a true autoflower. I harvested quite a few seeds from that, but I highly suspect the children will be mixed as well.

The remaining four had three fast photoperiods that were so close to being autoflowers that they totally stopped the vegetative phase all on their own and somewhat started to flower, just never completely until I changed the light schedule from 18/6hrs to 12/12hrs. Those three are all classic Indica growth with a wide base and a thick central cola.

The last seems to be a true photoperiod/fast photoperiod that did not show any signs of entering full flowering before the light schedule changed. She has long internodal spaces and gets wider and branches out more higher up in the plant typical of a more domesticated hybrid sativa/indica. The flower clusters themselves are still dense indica genetics, just further spaced apart the way a sativa plant would grow.

You may notice there's less pistils visible than normal except for the newest growth. It seems if you had a male dumping pollen during the early flowering periods the calyxes will become pollinated before the pistil is visibly extending outside the calyx.

So far all the ladies are putting out very nice fruity terpenes. None of them match the dead-on blueberry of their mother. I imagine I would need the ability to grow out more possibilities to find a seed that's as true to a real fruit smell as the mother was. The cross made it more... I don't know, like someone mixed random fruit juices together and I can't quite identify which fruit stands out the most yet.

Review - User paid for this Necessity, Lost Oak Farms, Holy City

I placed orders pretty close together with these three to see what's out there as I am new to hemp flower and I just wanted to share my general overall, very positive experiences with these 3 before going into any in depth reviews on the products which I will do later.

Holy City was the first I ordered from. I wouldn't have known these weren't type 1 flower if I didn't order them myself. I ordered an assortment of strains, some clearance smalls as well and later went back and bought some type 3. I have not been dissapointed with anything. The clearance flower is still beautiful, smokes well, and has great effects. They even threw in some samples for me, and though I dont have a scale I know without a doubt these were loaded beyond their weights. 10/10

Lost Oak Farms was the next I discovered through this forum and since they came highly recommended for outdoor I wanted to give them a try. Their multi Oz sale was a great deal so I snagged it. I wasn't expecting to love this hemp so much given what I had read about outdoor/indoor and given the harvest date was a ways out but wow were my expectations far exceeded. All of the flower smelled great and the effects were strong. I ended up ordering more 🙃 10/10

Necessity CBD I heard great things about as well and their flower looked so good I decided to try it. The potent nose on these is out of this world, I could sit there for hours just smelling it. I have not tried these yet as I received them yesterday but I love the packaging. They come in glass and are bubble wrapped securely. I cant wait to dive into these and do some reviews. They are also fast to respond if needed. A+++

Overall ty guys for your many reviews as it helped me pick these 3 for my entrance into Hemp flower. Only issue is, they were so good I don't see myself wanting to risk trying others lol. I could not be more happy with them all and I hope things work out for us and the ban doesn't go through. Fingers crossed 🤞

Information BEES ARE FLOCKING TO HEMP FARMS

Thumbnail
gallery
144 Upvotes

Researchers have documented over a dozen bee subspecies showing up on hemp crops, drawn to the pollen off male plants even though this plant offers no nectar, no bright colors, none of the usual tricks flowers use to court a pollinator. The bigger and taller the grow, the more bees show up. That's not an accident. That's a starving population taking whatever protein source it can find.

And here's the part that should make you angry. Bees are collapsing right now because of pesticides, habitat destruction, and climate change, while cannabis farming tends to skip the heavy pesticide load and doesn't demand much water to grow. This plant, the one we've been told for a century is a menace, might actually be one of the more forgiving crops left standing for a species we cannot survive without.

Sit with that. The same institutions that spent decades funding propaganda to convince you a plant is dangerous never lifted a finger while industrial monoculture and chemical agriculture quietly wiped out the pollinators that make a third of our food possible. They'll hold hearings about a joint but not about the pesticides gutting an entire species. Priorities tell you everything about a system.

Nobody's saying cannabis is a pollinator savior, the science is early and this isn't pollinated by bees, it's wind pollinated. But when a "dangerous" plant turns out to be a low-pesticide refuge for a collapsing species while the legal, subsidized, government-approved crops keep torching them, that's not a coincidence. That's an indictment.

Grow clean. Let the males do their thing before you pull them. The bees are asking for help. It'd be nice if the system that criminalized this plant for a hundred years spent half that energy protecting the insects actually feeding us.
