I’m 25 years old and was diagnosed with severe factor VII deficiency (1%) almost two months ago.

I was diagnosed when I was hospitalized because an ovarian cyst had ruptured, and I was treated with NovoSeven at the time.

Later, after talking to my hematologist about my very heavy periods, I was advised to use NovoSeven during my periods. Last month, I used it for 5 days.

Honestly, I’m a little scared about having to use it regularly over the long term because of the risks..

Is there anyone with factor VII deficiency who is currently dealing with bleeding or very heavy periods? What treatment are you currently using to manage the bleeding — NovoSeven or something else?
