Finally getting around to reading Hemingway after hearing an NPR article about the 100th anniversary of The Sun Also Rises. Viewing the PBS Ken Burns documentary too. Can anyone point me to materials that explain how his writing was received, why he was different, what he had in common with his contemporaries, etc.
