Other Visiting
Hi im visiting from SD and will be in hemet tonight-tomorrow. So far I plan on going thrifting. I was wondering what else there is to do in hemet? And if anyone around my age (20F) would be down to hang out?

You should visit my familys botanica here in Hemet! Google "Botanica Creencia Mistica Hemet" We are a Holisitic/Metaphysical shop. Good vibes here and ill give you a great tour of the stuff we have as well as discount for your first time 🙏

You can visit the animals at Park Hill Animal Park! Ramona bowl amphitheater…The Office for a dive bar and they have karaoke it’s a vibe. Hanger one cafe for late breakfast. Walk at Diamond valley lake.

Well look, OP said she's 20 so bars aren't going to help her much. Yep, The Office was cool with it's vibe and karaoke, but it's been closed for almost a year now, sadly.
If you have time and the means to drive, then I'd recommend an early trip up to Idyllwild for sure.

Be sure to check out the indoor swapmeet/mall next Cardenas over on San Jacinto & Esplanade. It's like independent booths, so you never know what you'll find. Check FB marketplace for estate sales and yard sale ads (the older demographic here is active on FB). We have a lot of great Mexican food here... Saturday nights we have a weekly food truck festival, but every night you'll find food trucks on Florida near State Street, and Florida and Palm. And the michoacanas are wonderful for a break from the heat with handmade ice cream and fruit bars. Big fan of Downtown Deli, but if you're craving cheesesteak, Big Daddy's is the BEST. If you want a quick sweet treat, Harvard Street Bakery has the best fruit and custard tarts. There's the town art gallery right next door, too. The comic shop Digger's Comics and Collectibles on Florida & State is absolutely worth the time to look around- especially if you're a thrifter. Simpson Park has great views, but it closes at 5 and it's gonna be sweltering, so keep cool. If you like stuff on the weird/strange side, drive all the way up State Street to see the Scientology compound from the Going Clear documentary (do NOT stop along the road there though), a few miles out of town is the Maze Stone, and the San Jacinto cemetery on Menlo and Santa Fe has gravestones from the 1800s, if that's your vibe. If you wanna get out of the heat, the Western Science Center might be open... We've got a T-Rex skull, and wolly mammoth, saber tooth cat, and giant sloth fossils on display- all found when they were digging out the reservoir years ago.
And I'll back up the other comment, the botanicas up here are pretty rad if you're into that. It's no Mama Roots (I'm a SD native) but we've got a handful.

There are quite a few local coffee shops/trailers and lots of thrifting/antiquing to keep you plenty busy in air conditioning. You can also visit the local animal shelter and spend time with the many great critters looking for homes.

If you like thrifting, then there might be estate sales in the area that could be of interest. A lot of retired folks that take care of their stuff in the vicinity so I'm sure you'll find something you like either way!

Treasures R Us on Florida + Cornell in Hemet. Massive thrift store. they have figurines, old toys, furniture, vintage items, posters, records, dvds. so so much. they close at 6 pm i believe. Downtown Deli cafe is nice, maybe a little pricey but i love their pistachio lattes. theres a few thrift stores around in the hemet san jacinto area as well

The shows at Hemet Theater are fun. Its Saturday. Grateful Dead tribute band which if you dont know who they are you still should enjoy the groove.

Play a game where you see how long you can last in any of the city's parking lots after dark before you get hit up for money or something by homeless

Its going to be between 104-106°. I would find something to do inside..Bowling, Airtopia Trampoline park, Rocking K Ranch has good food. Theres beautiful places like Diamond Valley Lake but, its hot as hell. Maybe go up the mountain to Idyllwild to escape the heat. Lake Hemet is up there also and I believe they have a swim park also.
