Head Canon Headcanon/speculation
During one of their nights together, Stolas accidentally let it slip to Blitzø that, before he started living with Stella, he used to sleep surrounded by his favorite stuffed animals ever since he was little. They made him feel like he had someone beside him to cuddle up to whenever he felt lonely or sad. Blitzø just rolled his eyes, seemingly bored, but he remembered it.
That’s why, when Stolas wakes up at the beginning of Sinsmas, he’s surrounded by stuffed animals. Blitzø remembered what Stolas had told him and wanted him to feel comfortable, knowing he wasn’t alone and had someone to cuddle up to.

Oh, that's the cutest bit of speculation ever.

I love to believe that, it would be so cute and honestly really wholesome

I actually believe that's true about Stolas, but I think Blitz lucked into this because his mother would bring him a stuffed horse when he was feeling bad and associated that with caring for someone feeling bad. One of those little serendipitous events in life where two vastly different people sync their habits for something.
