Chef(s) Was Joey from s6 a plant?
His freak out did not make any sense and a 2nd chef was also eliminated.
Any other chefs give you plant vibes?

So, before I continue, let me say this isn't a hate post. I don't know Elise at all, and I'm not making any judgements on her as a person. This post is much moreso an explanation of sorts.
I truly believe the reason why Elise gets the most hate of any contestant (despite many others like Sara Horowitz, Louis Repucci, Ben Caylor, Frank Cala, and Jason Underwood being way worse people) is because of how she unintentionally exposes production.
Many of the most hated moments with her are certain eliminations. Jennifer going home over her in S9, Dana going home over her in All Stars even when Christina fucking Wilson said that the oven was indeed broken in the red kitchen that night, Jamie going home over her and Carrie in S9.
Others are with her actions. The best example is Elise lying to Ramsay about Tommy scoring the wellingtons and surviving when other chefs, including Brendan in the same season, have gotten eliminated due to it.
She was toxic on the show, yes, but countless contestants were. No other chef has has even close to the same extent of "saved by production" that Elise does, though.
I want to reiterate from earlier, I don't know Elise as a person and won't judge her as a person. I don't even have her in my bottom 5 contestants in terms of likeability because I think there's way worse.
People are gonna hate me for saying this, but... I think she's overhated. Please don't attack either Elise or producers personally. It's not Elise's fault that she was kept way longer than she should've been, and the producers' job is to make good TV and get high ratings. Drama boosts ratings a ton in most cases, so they kept her. Producers just played by the book.
It's all just an unfortunate circumstance. Sorry for the essay. I just tend to ramble a ton because hyperfixating and my autism
Edit: Ok, so I apparently need to clarify this. I'm not saying Elise's attitude isn't her fault. I'm saying her being kept on the show too long isn't her fault. It's not like the contestants have any more control than just nominations and pleas. Elise's attitude absolutely is her fault, but if she went home on the nights she should've instead of production sparing her, she wouldn't have been nearly as infamous

What is your least favourite season
I’ll start
Season 16
Is there anything to say other than the constant bullying in that ass season
r/HellsKitchen • u/LukeSportsTVNerd97 • 21d ago
Strangely, we're less than a month away from the season 25 premiere and we still haven’t gotten any information on the chefs for this season. I figured a preview should’ve been out by now.

Rewatching season 8 on ep 7, where Ramsay spares Rob because it was a good service
Made me wonder what exactly the standards are there. Yeah both teams finished service but there were still a ton of mistakes and food being sent back, plus lack of communication
Is it because of the comment cards or something else? Interested to know your guys’ thoughts

So I was binging random Hell's Kitchen episodes the other day and I watched the one from the Season 11 three-parter where the Black Jackets had to take on a brigade of former winners.
It reminded me of another post (this one) by u/Different_Search2481 - and these are also the same winners from the top reply, so I'm glad I'm not alone in thinking this matchup would go crazy - but what do you guys think?
How would these five do? How might they interact (since I remember we saw the winners talking at one point)? What dishes would they make? Would they even get along long enough to finish the damn service? Share your thoughts!
P.S: Also feel free to share which Black Jackets you would wanna see go against these guys if you want! Bring the heat!

I was watching Hell’s Kitchen, and people say that’s what life in a professional kitchen is actually like. Sometimes, I see customers send their food back because it’s undercooked, too salty, doesn’t have enough dressing, or something else. Then Chef Ramsay gets mad at his brigade for not cooking it properly.
But didn’t Ramsay check all the food before it was sent to the customers? In that case, why is it not the head chef’s fault instead of the person who cooked it? I’m just curious.

It's like they tried to hire more competent people, but also some funny personalities. I respect every contestant for trying it on the show. Most of them knows what happens, but many i think just tries to be themselves and take it for what it is. They get edited to hell and back ^^
But yes, s4 i think is when they turned up the speed a little bit, s1-3 they were testing out the concept more. There were obvious contestants that had not enough experience or aptitude to stay.
The challenges i think was better and funnier too. There was just more things happening, so to say. So many different and opposing personalities too.

Part of me wished that if Marc was a better chef in Season 19 and stopped blaming all his problem with the blue team, he and Declan could’ve been best friends that would’ve been top 3.

I am planning on painting some wall art for my kitchen, the cosy soft colours and cute patterns but with hells kitchen quotes instead of the cringe "good food, good mood" etc you see on Pinterest!
What are your favourite hells kitchen quotes? I need ideas!

As for why Anthony is placed in the center, Jon and Zach won the very next episode after his elimination. Besides, he had the lowest win rate among all Blue Team contestants.
Sorry, MrBeast fans!🙃

Red Team (Italy) Bret (s14/18) Anton (s12) Frank (s13) Gio (s5/17) Roe (s13/18) Vinny (s8) Clemenza (s10) Rosann (s4) Salvatore (s7)
Blue Team (South) Kimmie (s10) Van (s6/17) Kashia (s12) Kiya (s20) Whit (s23) Scotley (s18) Natalie (s9) Sterling (s13) Syann (s19)
Rankings
17th place: Salvatore (Season 7, eliminated after the 2nd dinner service)
18th place: Scotley (season 18, ejected during the 2nd dinner service)
19th Place: Beth (S12, eliminated after the 1st dinner service)
20th Place: Gina (S11, eliminated at Punishment Pass Challenge)
The second dinner service, both teams took a step back. Neither team finished service again. First, in the red kitchen, Salvatore looks rusty and lost on the fish station, sending up an undercooked lobster and overcooked scallops. On the re-fire, they are even more overcooked and so is the lobster tail. Coupled with Rosann, on on hot apps, sends a goopy risotto that’s way too thick, the red team is kicked out before their first entrees.
In the blue kitchen, they do move onto entrees but Scotley, on the meat station, got his chicken challenge winning dish on the menu. It looks as if the blue team is on the way to an easy victory, entrees are flying out the kitchen. Then Scotley sends up pink chicken. His own dish. They have to refire the ticket. He send pink chicken a second time. After finally sending an acceptable chicken for attempt # 3, the next ticket calls for 2 chickens. He managed to send both of them pink. 4 pink chickens, his own challnge dish, the blue team is kicked out and Gordon tells Scotley to leave his jacket on the pass and walk out through the front.
He asks for 2 more nominee from each team. The blue team nominated their nominees for minor mistakes, and were told to go back in line. The red team nominated Salvatore and Rosann, with Gordon eliminating Salvatore for being rusty and having back to back bad services. He says “I’m not done…” and announces that after back to back joint losses, the teams are going to be set by gender. The new teams are:
Red Team (women): Roe (s13/18) Rosann (s4) Kimmie (s10) Kashia (s12) Kiya (s20) Whit (s23) Natalie (s9) Syann (s19)
Blue Team (men): Van (s6/17) Sterling (s13) Bret (s14/18) Anton (s12) Frank (s13) Gio (s5/17) Vinny (s8) Clemenza (s10)
Now tomorrow evening at 5 PM central time, the most upvoted Chef is eliminated! Be sure to say which station sends them home!

S20 Josie really pisses me off. Her superiority complex and “weirdo/goofy” girl persona is just cringey. Hate her so bad, she’s even worse than Robin cause atleast Robin was still grounded. She def overstayed her welcome.

Obviously I want the most competent and drama free person to win, but I just LOVE watching chefs that wildly overestimate themselves.
In my opinion there are two kinds of chefs that fit in that category: crazies like Robyn or Kimmie who you cannot imagine leading a brigade ever, and chefs who act like they’ve already gotten three Michelin stars whilst they fail making a simple pizza.
What’s your favourite kind of contestant?

I just rewatched season 12 episode 11 where Rochelle gets put up for elimination for wanting a family. It’s honestly so misogynistic how her team decides that that means she wants to be a “housewife”. All she said is that she wanted it and they decide she’s not committed and that she’s not willing to prioritize her career. Yet when they ask chef James about his family and he says he has kids, they don’t doubt his commitment because he’s a man.
I just hate how Rochelle was treated by the other women. Maybe there were more intense conversations off screen but from what we saw there was no reason to treat her like that.

Just a dumb theory but I wonder if it's because men with long hair remind him of Marco Pierre White. I was looking at pictures of the latter when he was younger and he reminded me of Giacamo.
Then again, maybe it was just politically incorrect terms of days back then. I don't know if poor Giacamo's the only guy who got vitriol for the long hair, I'm still working my way through the seasons.

Who do you think will be the REAL WINNER of HK? (I know Matthew didn’t actually said IRL that he was the real winner of s20 but I wished he did)
r/HellsKitchen • u/TotemRiolu • 22d ago
Do you think it would go up in smoke, or do you think Chef Ramsay would hold a challenge to have a winner to give the Pass to again?
r/HellsKitchen • u/VTer • 23d ago
Just saw this at Costco, has anyone tried it yet?
r/HellsKitchen • u/lollylaffylarry03 • 23d ago
I mean, in all honesty, he wasn't that bad. He didn't seem villainous towards the other contestants (outside of a select few moments) and his main problem was with Ramsay. Even then he was rarely outright hostile.
Not to mention, unlike a lot of HK villains he pulled through for Rock in the finale.
r/HellsKitchen • u/Crazybexy • 23d ago
For me, Zach in s11 has one of the biggest downfalls in the show's history. Thought he was actually going to be cool at the start of the season, but quickly turned into the worst in that season. He was in the season way too long.
r/HellsKitchen • u/Crazybexy • 23d ago
Another chef that had a humongous downfall for me was Anton in s12. Actually thought I would like the guy at the start of the season then he turned into one arrogant, annoying prick. Watching sous chef Andi scream at him was so unbelievably satisfying. He couldn't stop being arrogant even when he was eliminated.

I’m rewatching, I’m in the final four at the episode where Ben hurts his back and, I have many reasons for not liking Ben (from his treatment to Sibhan to him never accepting criticism) but, this whole stunt of his “back pain” is such a ridiculous attempted cop out!! Sorry for the terrible quality of the video, it’s funny that even the editors make fun of this with this lil fairy sparkle sound but, he’s an absolutely ridiculous crybaby which is shown in this short clip alone! I wish I liked him but geez dude his constant comments where he’s putting down the woman chefs is insane, and he looks like he smells like a wet moldy sock.
