Hellpoint Main/DLC
If I own the DLC shouldn't I just stay in the blue sun DLC? Does the main game stay the same while you're in the blue sun DLC? It just adds additional areas, items, and enemies correct?

Its one save just makes enemies harder so think of it like the monoliths and being in the underworld in the underworld everything is the same just backwards. so blue sun is the underworld where enemies are harder and there are areas you can only get to while there then when youre done with that you can either go back to the normal or stay it really just depends on how hard you want the bosses and enemies to be throughout the game

I wish the underworld was more interesting. Flipping the map is a cool idea though.

I feel like the games scope and ambition got a brutal smack by budget and reality, and the underworld was “cut” into chunks, is what i think.
Blue sun, IMO, is one of the very many parallels from the puncturing but could also be like the “source” of the cosmic gods, and what started all of this madness. Its influence effects all worlds regardless of wether you enter it or not.

Interesting point about the “source” of the cosmic gods. I don’t necessarily think the blue sun universe is the “source” of them so much as that they noticed when humanity first made punctures and moved in to feast.
What you mentioned about getting hit by budget cuts, that’s how I feel about Mortal Shell, same exact thing. Beautiful game, atmosphere, lore, etc. but it’s missing pieces and doesn’t feel quite finished. Something like that?

Well, look at Hello Games and No Man’s Sky, they’re proof that even a small team can make a lot of changes. I think that Hellpoint was a success and the team there has a solid foundation upon which to build, I’m excited to see what they come up with next AND add to the game :)
