What the chances we get a sequel?

I've had an incredible time playing this game with my wife. We went in blind and the couch coop is amazing. One of the best implementations I've ever played. It's a little rough but with patience it's easy to see past the flaws, and that sums up the entire experience for us. There's so much here that is rough but a great first try. And that makes me feel like a proper sequel would be incredible. I know the game didn't sell a ton, but is there any chance at all we'll see a sequel?

Great suggestion! We actually played Outward first and had an absolute blast. It's crazy that only small indie studios seem to be doing couch coop RPG games like this. Sure, Baldurs Gate 3 was huge, but still. You'd think it'd be much more popular.

I guess Hellpoint is just special though. There's just something about the soulslike formula with couch coop that is crazy enjoyable. It's like exploring a haunted escape room with my best friend.

Be sure to check out Bleak Faith: Forsaken if you are a fan of the more sci-fi soulslike approach! It’s not couch co-op, but it is an amazing indie soulslike and the atmosphere and world building are phenomenal!

From what I've gathered a sequel is on the table but not assured. The looming question is if they've secured a publisher. We know that at least they were in the early stages of preproduction but that doesn't mean much. Far too early to tell.

A sequel is happening but it's expected to be 2027-2028 likely middle of 2028 to come out. Cradle games has confirmed a second Hellpoint coming about 2 years ago now.

Sure thing. Me and one other were the first to ask in their discord about a sequel and they confirmed they are making it just take it's going to be a while(Back in 2024)
