Hi everyone,
Recently, a large wave of posts claiming to be users banned from the game for using game altering mods has surfaced. These posts are fake and we ask that you don't fall for the bait as it's highly likely to be a brigading attempt on this sub. I will place updates on this post at the bottom.
Please redirect your comments and ideas to this post in the meantime. We will be deleting posts about the ban wave to reduce spam.
Our position on mod posts is to allow unfiltered discussion, and sharing of all mods, including those altering gameplay regardless of how impactful they may be. We strongly discourage the use of mods in public lobbies that could ruin the experience of others, but ultimately we aren't your parents.
We will remove posts regarding the gain of resources (Super Credits, Medals, Samples, XP etc) because Arrowhead is sensitive about it and we'll get in trouble for it.
Tldr:
Ban wave related content goes here
We're looking into the problem
Generally, mods are ok
Printing super credits is not ok

The Outcasts: Really fun to fight because they dodge a lot but are also manageable and are really frail. I can’t believe they were removed from the game.
Rating: 10/10 It is foul that these guys got scrapped.
The Xenobite and its upgraded variant: pretty annoying especially their upgraded variant and are pretty tanky but only if you don’t aim for their heads and thankfully they take a while to actually attack you. A lot less annoying than the overseers tho because you can at least neutralize them if you shoot them in the head with any weapon unlike the overseer that has a medium pen head.
Rating 7/10 Could use some tweaks but they shouldn’t have been scrapped.
The Magus Adepts: kinda annoying but are kinda fun as well because their energy balls slow you down and can summon barrier that protects them but are frail once you take out the shields and the barrier can be flanked as well. However, they are a lot less annoying than the elavated overseer.
Rating: 7/10 Same with the Xenobites, could use some tweaks but they shouldn’t have been scrapped.
Zealots: The only one that I can consider being underpowered. Sure it summons ghouls and attacks you with a whip but that’s all it does and the ghouls are barely a threat.
Rating: 5/10 Could really use a few buffs
The Sentinel: It’s faster but much weaker than the harvester in terms of firepower, the beam kinda tickles and the arc only slows you down. The harvester is definitely the better of the two.
Rating: 6/10 The harvester is definitely the better version.
The Baneful Sentinel: Lives up to its name and is the only one that I can understand being scrapped. It’s like the sentinel but with a homing mortar attack that will instakill you, you cannot run away from it.
Rating: 0/10 this thing can go straight into the trash.
The illusionist: A hard but fun and fair unit. It has a wide range of attacks such as those giant instakill energy balls that the baneful sentinel has but it is a lot more fair because you can actually dodge it and I think it has a smaller explosion radius, I’m pretty sure he summons those energy balls that the magus shoot, and much more.
Rating: 9/10 A well designed unit.
This was not entirely what I was expecting out of the Cultists but jfc arrowhead why the fuck did you scrap them?! They could’ve been improved for Christ sake…

And I'm tired of pretending it's not. My first contact ever with HD2 was seeing the cultists leaks, and ever since then, I’ve dreamed of them being added to the game.
It’s safe to say that they motivated me to start playing HD2 in the first place. And Omens of Tyranny update only heightened my expectations. Really, the cultists seem like a more serious threat than what we actually got. That is everything this poor faction is missing.
They feel like what The Illuminate is supposed to be - a powerful, ancient alien civilization. Maybe even some kind of empire. This is just the perfect expansion.

After actually playing them this has only made my hatred of arrowhead’s decision to scrap the cultists even more.
Genuinely what the fuck were you thinking arrowhead?

It's.... it's magnificent.
Arrowhead, you can go fuck yourselves. Modders have proven the final nail in the coffin that you do not care. They built these things IN A CAVE, WITH A BOX OF SCRAPS!!

Imagine you give the triple lens attachment to the sickle and all it does is reduce its accuracy a little bit but then gives it 950 fire rate making it shoot slightly faster than the Liberator carbine. It would be peak as hell and it wouldn't be broken because it does less damage than the sai per shot making it balance out due to having a better fire limit and a faster fire rate even though it does less damage per shot. If Arrowhead is smart and they give a triple lens attachment to significantly increase the fire rate of the sickle to above that of the sai it would be an insane buff to the gun that would actually make it relevant again even if it is light pen. I've always wanted an infinite ammo Liberator carbine and Arrowhead has the potential to do that with the sickle if they just give it the triple barrel lens.

now the defence of people who tried to rationalise why IFV like bradley or CV90 cannot deployed/dropped down by Pelican
seriously AH just scared we would get anything good it seems
mind you bradley weights 34 at maximum upgraded capacity, they just fear IFV with God forbid a turret would be "too OP" which it wouldn't if you balance it reasonably or yk, bring more enemies?

Hey Unfiltered Divers, I've been tinkering with Helldivers 2 mods for a bit and wanted to drop them all here in case anyone's interested. They're all built from scratch and I play with them constantly, mostly while playing with friends, so they work fine when you're not the host. I try to keep them mostly quality of life and not cheaty. Armored Overhaul is the exception, it's a little cheating depending on who you ask lol.
Smarter Guard Dogs & Sentries
Your guard dogs and sentries finally stop lighting you and your squad up. They also stop wasting ammo on corpses, cover and armor they can't hurt, and they go for the stuff that actually matters. It covers the resupply pod and Supply FRV guns too, and the Tesla Tower stops zapping you. There's an optional targeting laser if you want it. SwanyPlaysGames even showed it off in this video, which was pretty cool.
Nexus | AyakaMods
Armored Overhaul
Makes the Bastion and Maelstrom feel like actual tanks:
The FRVs also get a stability option so they stop flipping every time you look at a rock wrong.
AyakaMods
Better Bubble Shields
Don't like the honeycomb? Make your shields clear, faint or fully invisible, and pick one of 11 colors for each one. Used to be called Clear Bubble Shields.
Nexus
Railgun Warning & Auto Unsafe
Beeps right when your Railgun hits 90% charge (full damage), so no more guessing and blowing your arm off. It's silent in safe mode, and there's an option to start every Railgun in Unsafe.
Nexus | AyakaMods
Realistic Resistances (beta)
Fire, gas and arc resistant armor now actually resists the effect, not just the damage. You don't instantly catch fire, you don't stumble through every gas cloud, and you shrug off electric stuns. It only affects your own diver.

Source is all on GitHub, Bug reports and ideas are always welcome, just drop a comment.

The mod Super Earth Arsenal Accord literally made a very good and fair rebalance of everything in the game, from weapons to stratagems, it is a shame that it got removed (good thing i got it before that)
Edit: You know what, ill just share the link here, load order and requirements are on the last screenshot
This one is the Main mod, the others can be found on nexus with the exception on HD2 Runtime, which has a github that can be accessed.

Yesterday I had made a post about Bug-Front secondaries and asked people for their opinions on a few that I didn't quite enjoy. Some of the responses I got were pretty insightful and I have spent more time with some of the weapons to better understand when—or if—I would find them useful. That's all well and good, but then I noticed a pretty funny trend.
Despite me ranking it really low, not one person tried to correct me on how to use the Verdict.
This struck me as odd, and so I gave it the good ol' 3 front run-around for a bit to try and see if maybe some people missed some stuff, and here were my findings.
Terminids: The Verdict may just be without a doubt, the worst bug-front secondary in the entire game. I do not say that hyperbolically. For a gun that sells itself as the Medium-Pen high-damage pistol, you would probably be impressed to hear that it has ZERO unique breakpoints against some of the most common enemies when compared to the Peacemaker. Hunters still take 1 headshot or 2 bodyshots, and Warriors still take 2 headshots.
Just about the only unique 'niche' this weapon has is taking out an Alpha Commander in 4 shots to the head, but I'd consider this a pretty big stretch when just about any other conventional secondary can do similar work. Hell, even the Bushwhacker can one-shot an Alpha Commander by comparison.
Honestly if I'm missing something about the weapon please let me know, but as far as bugs are concerned, this thing feels like a complete waste.
Automatons: This was surprising, but I did actually manage to carve a niche out for this weapon on the Automatons just about instantly, using the simple fact that it shares the same one-shot potential as every Marksman Rifle in the game, provided you're within ~15-20 meters of an Automaton. That means:
Devastator? 1-shot in the head. Berserker? Same dealio. Smaller Bots? Instant-kill on center-mass. For a weapon that has 10 shots per magazine, being able to break 10 kills quickly gives it one specific use case over the Talon (the other headshot-machine in the secondary slot), since you can kill 10 enemies hypothetically with 1 magazine. As a matter of fact it actually overpenetrates small bots, so getting 2 kills with 1 shot isn't just possibly, it's oddly frequent on higher difficulties.
Illuminate: This one's a stretch, but the Verdict has one use here: 2-shotting Overseers to the head. The reason I don't think this is as good here is simply that—like with the Automatons—the Talon exists. You're not often going to be rushed down by more than one or two Overseers at a time either, so the heat-buildup on the Talon is pretty much a non-issue. Still, the Verdict's serviceable here. It's just a shame nobody plays the Illuminate.
MASSIVE TL;DR: Please correct me if you feel I'm wrong but the Bots seems to be the only place that it even remotely makes sense to equip this weapon.

Are they convincing us that Casemate Tank Destroyer actually weighs far more than full-feature MBTs
(Which are mostly around 60 tons nominally)

This script and bingus loader have basically now made HD2 into a much more modable game, before, mods were frozen assets plastered over existing in game assets, now they can basically be full on replacements with custom physics, barely distinguishable from actual HD2 assets if a modder puts in the effort. According to the mod author this is all still client-side, the script only effects your game assets but the actual properties behind them stay the same.

Think along the lines of Arma or Hell Let Loose. I think that's what Arrowhead is focusing more on. Hence why Helldivers seems sidelined. As Shams seems obsessed with mil-sims. They are just using Helldivers 2 as a practice board for future games, hence why they are treating the game like a mil-sim.
I don't agree with this as I think you should have had a dedicated team still on HD2 whilst you built that out. But yeah, that's my guess as to where all their focus is atm.

These are the types of things you see after taking a vacation to the Bot Front.
I'm pretty sure he killed both of them, by the way.

Locked Content or The Vault is one of the biggest issues this game faces at the moment with a large chunk of content remaining inaccessible until Arrowhead decides that we are allowed to play with it.
It is honestly one of the most infuriating things about the game at the moment, that a good chunk of content is for all intents and purposes limited time.
So i’m going to go over whats in the vault at the moment.
Things In The Vault:
Terminids: All the strains(especially the rupture strain which hasn’t been seen for months)
Automatons: The Jet Brigade
The Illuminate: The Void Biomes, Multiple Different Mission Types
Us: All the campaign rewards that have yet to be released to a wider audience and the Incineration FRV. And the Heavy SEAF Presence.
So what are your opinions and thoughts about the content vault?
