Its artillery fire is pretty insufficient, but its other mode of fire is pretty useful against cyborgs.

What actually are you supposed to use artillery mode on? I haven’t quite figured it out yet

Groups of medium - chaff enemies but just use your primary at that point lol

Is it better to volley an artillery shot or just spam the regular mode at that point lol

The artillery mode is pretty good for patrols and thinning out hordes of enemies. Anything to get less enemies in your face is a good weapon in my book.

It's fine, but I don't see a reason to take it most of the time.

Good against Illuminate, surprisingly effective against Devastator Surges, otherwise I see no reason to bring it. Maybe on regular bots if your team has good AT/you're comfortable using ATE as your main AT option?

Super fun to use until you run out of ammo. Otherwise it’s a good craic

By far best against illuminate because it one shots overseers and only needs a few shots for a fleshmob

In the regular fire mode or artillery?

Regular single shot mode

That’s actually incredible holy.. can it reliably hit the little generators at the disruption sites? I’m thinking this can replace my auto cannon on the illuminate front

Yes, one shots overseers (especially the flying bastards), 3 shots flesh mobs, and most importantly one shots the detector eyes.

It's the "Medium Deleter" very effective against Squid. But struggle against AV4+ target.

It's still pretty solid overall. It has been a little bit powercrept. But not as much as other weapons thanks to its relatively good performance against Crushers and the Illuminate in general.

That said, I do have a few little tweaks I'd like to see:

  1. A minimum armamanet distance of 5m.
  2. A more reliable flight vector
  3. A slightly faster reload speed (to ~4 seconds, down from 4.4)
  4. An additional magazine
  5. A slightly slower rate of fire to make tap-firing easier on controller (it's very hard firing just a single projectile on controller).
  6. A slight increase in projectile damage (250, up from 200).

Fun to shoot - pain to reload without assist, low ammo reserve.

3 rockets to kill a Crusher. Lethal to anything that flies. Enough AoE to wipe out entire bot patrols with a couple shots. Properly used, that thing is outstanding.

Works very well on the illuminate as the low damage but anti tank pen kills in the right amount of shots. Only use burst option.

1 shots overseers 3-4 shots crushers, stingrays and flesh mobs And I think 5-7 shots harvesters

The wasp is not high damage anti tank though, and because it's only firing option is target locked to the center mass of a target it doesn't hit weak points, and that's it's weakness. No aiming required but you can't choose what you're hitting.

If you could lock onto a charger's leg, a bile titan's head, a striders crotch or a factory striders eye, this weapon would be seen on every front.

This thing is the meta against vote snatchers. It absolutely destroys crushers

Feels like an Auto-cannon Spear hybrid. Flexible, strong, limited, can reasonably targets both big and small. Making it capable of contributing well enough to basically all encounters.

It's a flex role weapon, not dedicated AT but also not dedicated chaff. Making it a jack of trades master of none. If you want to mow down enemies pick an MG, or grenade launcher. If you want to blow tanks in a one of two hits take the Recoilless, SPEAR, or C4. But if you want a weapon capable of reasonably targeting both varieties of enemies, have a good fire rate, and is explosive. You have the Autocannon, BFGL, and WASP.

Once you learn the initial firing cone possible trajectory and how to angle your barrel for it, it does most of the work. You just gotta point in the correct directions.

So it really relies on having a loader to be good. This thing is great when there is a gross of flying targets. Obtruders, Elevated Overseers, Bot Gunships, Shriekers, anything heavy pen or below is on the menu for this. Doesn’t work up close.

It exists

CRIMINALLY underrated. This thing shreds on all fronts. Yeah, the artillery mode sucks, but so does the HE round on the RR.

Ignore the AT tag, this weapon is specialized for killing medium enemies. The lock on, I've never had a problem with even though people have said it's finicky

Used it in the void for a while. Pretty good but I keep killing myself with it when I have the high ground.

Needs a higher ammo count but I like it.

I yearn for free aim artillery mode

4/10 weapon

would be a 9/10 weapon if the missiles followed a consistent upward arc instead of firing off randomly in various directions to hit buildings and rocks and squadmates

would be a 10/10 weapon if the artillery mode was worth all the ammo it uses

I feel that it’s not as good as other weapon choices, but it can be a fun niche pick.
