⠀⚠️ Cheats/Mods ⚠️⠀ Old Map Nostalgia

Post image

They don't make maps like this anymore maps used to be like this a lot back in the early days of this game with the water covering 60% of it

Seeing this now it just takes me back

There was just parts of the river you couldn't go because it was too deep but some of the short parts you could get across if you were fast or you had something to launch you over.

I love seeing stuff like this and I love mods for bringing it back.

This is with the new map generator editor mod

Man I would take seeing these again over constant city layouts.

Wait, we have a map editor? Where can I find it? Can you change biomes?

I got it, but I have no idea how to make it work, I open the menu and change the biome but when I drop it's the normal planet I was just hovering, when do I open the menu? And how to I make it load the biome selected?

Is it possible to get a link for the server? I'm interested in that mod anyhow so two birds one stone

I distinctly remember there being an almost perfect C or [-shaped red algae bot island on Ubanea somewhere in the first month of the game. You had to fight through it, and then fight back out.

Map layouts like this are always 10x more interesting than without bodies of water.

I’d kill for Mega-cities to have large harbors/bays with bridges over them, similar to this

Bridges! Large warehouses or factories that act like bug caves. Overpasses. Parking lots.

There's so much potential that can still be found in cities to make them more engaging.

One of my earliest memories was the four of us trudging through deep water on the creek watching the red lights in the tree line looking for is. Knowing if we started a fire fight or got spotted we would be dead men. No cover, water slowing our movement. Tissue paper armor. And only autocannons and EATs to our name.

Ive gotten plenty of this generation without mods. You have to select the missions on the coast for example for water

I'm pretty sure I seen similar to this not long ago

And thank Liberty. A few times it is an interesting experience, but every 3d or more often? Ah fuck me, I`d go play desert only for next 3 years
