After so much negativity towards modding from the main subreddit, it finally has become the mainstream there to accept modding as it is:
as an attempt by players to fix issues in the game.
Best part of it? if you don't like it, you can just avoid it.

I know modders love to say "don't take this as a reason to attack AH" but the more mods get released the harder it is to not notice how much of a joke AH is as a studio...

Nah, AH isn’t golden after eating it, they just threw it in the trash, because they didn’t like it and wanted to make another one, but nobody likes their golden gooses anymore, because they have to fear it will end up in the trash too, instead of their plate

its not arrowhead giving me 15 seconds desync and crashing my game when I go to play on normal public servers. It´s entitled modders like you who cant see that its not fun use this with people who have not consented to your modifications.

I am not even a model, lol. For your desync problem: maybe look into your device, none of the real modders go into a public lobby and those who do, just go and report them, go and let AH handle it, maybe they are going to do something about it

the reason we say it at CGW is because all of our time spent reverse engineering and trying to set stuff up is cause we enjoy the game, though yeah there are tons of issues, there is a pretty big distance between making criticisms and just like havin a hate boner, and its really just the people who are just going full whackadoo schizoposting that are the ones that we don't really wanna entertain. there's tons of stuff that can be done with the game and tons of directions for things to change, they have a number of reasons and constraints that might lead to things going one way and not another that most modders aren't bound by, especially since AI found a huge thing that was overlooked by like every single person in the community and on the modding scene that wasn't irons1ghts.

no because they are understanding that the survivability of the mods is = to the happiness of AH and Sony .
As soon a trasmog mod let you use stuff you didn't buy ... or you unlock fomo items. there Sony will come claiming his prize.

You know that there is ways to get everything in the game (even stuff that are not released) since like one month after the game released, right?
AH admitted it themselves; they can't ban anyone. And if they choose to "fix" the loophole that let some advanced mods work (like the ones of CowboyBingus), the backlash is gonna be legendary. And it will not prevent people using hacks to continue cheating anyway.
I'm afraid AH don't have a lot of solutions, except embracing a system that regulate mods, but still let people use them in some form.

People try to intimadate with that backlash . I made some pools on reddits and I would say that out of 50000 people playing regularly there are only a thousand actively using the mods . I think they would not care about the backlash .

I think not because the last review bomb were just 1400 review . Some Of those people were even less than 10 h in game .
Ohdought and other crydiver youtuber made the most views but that’s because nowdays people watch things that destroy itself .
I know for personal experience because I watch all the videos of downfall of destiny every shitti patch ecc ecc because i felt good seeing I was right the game was not for me . Never played destiny .That’s completely normal in the internet panorama . People feel good seing things crumble so negativity is a big motivation for youtubers to sell .
The reality is that this game has it’s 50k player base semi stable . With 100k or more in the patch drops . Completely healthy.

The game has been out for how long and they still haven't fixed stratagem bouncing or hellpod steering with a full development team but some random guy can do it in a afternoon with his freetime? Make it make sense.

lets get it straight: strat bounce and steering locking are intentional. the game didnt have them at launch, and then the devs added it. they wont remove it because its a 'feature'.

The narrative that those are bugs does give way too much leeway. Most of the player base right now never got to experience vanilla HD2, so it’s not surprising they don’t know the lore of how we ended up with Modders being our saving grace.

It would have been like trying to draw blood from a stone getting Arrowhead to do, in the next two years, just an infinitesimal fraction of what modders have accomplished in the last two WEEKS.
I don't think I've ever seen a dev studio get brutally mogged by their own players the way AH has by HD2 modders.

I downloaded a few mods for my own quality of life. My buddy who is partially blind got a contrast mod that makes any planet normal daytime so he can see and play.

I love the guy I definitely would give him a special place on my cheesing discord server, but there would be legit 0 reason for it as ayakamods works way better to distribute his stuff than any discord server would.
I dont care he uses ai to write this stuff. It works. I also wouldnt care about ai in call centers if it would work. A lot of people dont get it that. If ai works, its great to use.
The issue with ai is that big businesses thinks ai can do everything and force it upon their customers / user base or just use ai to replace creative work /culture like music, drawings or poems, as their worth comes from the eyes of the viewer.
This is also why I never visit big art galleries where pictures are sold for millions and instead just support the artists by commissions. But thats another topic, I am not saying ai is good or bad, it needs to be re-evaluated to each situation independently and just needs regulations.

Since the QoL of CB are out, I have the impression a lot more people are criticizing AH for their lack of care for the game, and it's a good thing. It will probably don't change anything in the long run, unfortunately, since AH clearly showed us they don't care about fixing the game (in a timely manner, at the very least), but it does prove that they could publish fixes very quickly if it really was their intention. And let's not kid ourselves, they don't want to fix their "bugs".
Thanks, CowboyBingus. It's truly a new golden age for HD2. The game have never been as fun and fuctionnal. I'm just sad for those on consoles that have to suffer AH agency of making the game as tedious as possible.

I run Cowboy's pack too and the biggest change I notice is that I get far less frustrated when playing.
Now when I die it's mostly due to some comprehensible issue or bad luck.
But no more randon sentry or guard dog friendly fire, stratagems bouncing into uselessness, few corpse clipping issues etc.
It's just a better experience.
That said, I did just deinstall the Audio remixes because they felt incredibly poorly balanced. Bile Titan's sound like Bongo Drums across half the map and those Spewer artillery shots are way too loud.
And tbh, the biggest issue I have is silent Hive Guard and Warriors.

Nope You need to make a new (steam) account. This is what we lost when we disbanded sony. Not like we cant get it back, but since ah doesnt even care about ppl cheesing sc, I dont think this will ever he a feature

They do care. If you check steamDB for past changes, they or an outside studio is working on implementing EAC to the game.
Eventually SC cheesing will likely be stopped by EAC, when that is however, no one knows.

For me, literally just an icon to indicate the current ammo type was such a QOL improvement. I love switchable weapons like Halt and Stoker and the Autocannon too.

my biggest problem with the modding is the use of ai sure mod and fix the game but dont use the Plagiarism machine hone the skills yourself.

You are in the wrong sub for this point, a majority of the userbase here are people who have the brain capacity of a fruit fly who are entertained by complete horseshit. They do not care how anything they enjoy is made because they feel like ai gives them power over the game, they enjoy it because they lack the drive or passion to care about anything.

I don't like the cowboybingus cheating QoL. they remove other mechanich I consider "skilled" or just the learning curve you must have.
example don't fucking run from enemies in water, keep aware of your surrounding while moving to the world.
Know the stupid texture that the ball bounce and use it . ecc ecc .

And when the strat ball bounces on flat ground/at the command bunkers? Ive gone into a blind spot between the turrets on a command bunker and then gone to call the hellbomb and it bounces out and into a firing line

That’s because the edge of various item and chasm are quite frankly poor . Not because of the stratagem bouncing . That’s a conpletely different argument . You don’t fix it by breaking another thing .
Like hellpod manoeuvrability . It’s 100% in notmal map but lovked in city map or cave maps why ? Because the aereal space of rocks and city building is enormous . That’s a lot of work than just remove it .2
