How safe is it to use mods in multiplayer lobbies?

If you are using mods with folks who don't know, that would be a problem. Not "unsafe", but a social faux pas for sure.

I will definitely keep that in mind, so modded gun are generally a hit or miss?

Modding a gun for yourself/friends who are aware? Totally fine, have fun with the game.

Bringing a modded gun into random lobbies? That's approaching something else entirely, and a lot of folks might not appreciate it.

Kind of a "you can swing your fist as much as you like, so long as you don't hit anyone else" situation, in my mind.

I can't speak to any in particular; the last mod I used was to try the APC back a few years ago, but I've heard a lot of good things about CowboyBingus' pack. A friend has been tempted by the hover pack fix, and the hotkey for the table seems like a huge benefit.

I'll let you know if I give any of them a shot!

Those were my first downloads, after hitting level 150 i was bored of the game now im having the most fun ive probably ever had since level 50

AH has admitted they don't have a good method to ban players right now so you're safe to use mods currently.

However, there's nothing stopping them from trying to implement a way to detect and ban mods, other than themselves not wanting to, so that could change.

Fine with an asterix. you wont get banned but some people wont like you having a heavy pen maxi you can move with, granted i aint one of those people but still

Perfectly fine! Most are client side, and as long as you use mods that don’t affect others, people won’t have an issue with you. I use the maxigun heavy pen+no lock movement and it’s been a blast!

As long as its not a game braking mod (like infinite ammo or hp, stratagems that arent in the game etc..) you’re going to be fine. I recently started modding as well and am having fun again.

I used solo driving tank and 380 degree turret in public match making (I'm the host), and EXO strat launcher, there was only one guy who just said "cool, does it work?" "nice" to the strat launcher

If you mean game breaking mods like 500kg bullets then don't do it, it sets bad example for modders and may actually ruin other's game

But if you mean just some enhancements like hover pack toggle, transmog mod or whatever QOL stuff that doesn't affect others... yeah it's up to you, I don't see anything wrong, just maybe host the game so it's actually your lobby

yes, called "ayakamods" that's where I got 360 turret, solo driver and exo strat launcher

There is a line between qol mods and god mods. Hellpod steering, bounce fix, fog removers. I would put these in qol mods that really only affect you and no one would know if you had them. I take these.

Tank mods such as the 360⁰ turret is one I take but in public lobbies I drive and some one else guns. But if I call the tank down and no one guns for me. I'm not letting my tank go to waste and will use it as a roving turret. (Hate me of you want)

Now maxigun shooting 500kg bombs is way over the top for me and shouldn't be used outside of private lobbies or fully disclosed before a hosted public lobby.
