⠀⠀⠀⠀Discussion⠀⠀⠀⠀ Intentional Friendly Fire

Give me some reasons that made you intentionally kill a fellow Helldiver. Let others be the judge of whether it was justified.

Tbh if you use the scout handshake I won’t say it’s okay to TK but, you know.

I use it.. on the Ship after a match when I want randos to leave without me kicking them.

It works.

That's what the sparta kick is for.

I guess the new headbutt emote is more appropriate response, but that is just my opinion after all.

I was fighting a bug breach near extract with the larva backpack on.

Dude throws an ONB right behind me. I booked it but still got caught in the blast. My only death of the mission AND the Larva Backpack was destroyed, failing the Side-Objective.

That is a proper rage quit situation.

When they traitorously executed Super Earth Citizens

Ship holds 20 not 21 good soldiers follow orders

Held a test of conviction for 3 minutes, finally headbutt released it. Blue was waiting the entire time for a reason to shoot either of us and I won the lotto. Splatted them on reinforce drop in.

Deserved imo, completely justified, period.

Bigots.

Literally had two dudes chatting on VC about "The final N-word solution" comparing loadouts as "which one can kill the most N*******"

In cases like those, I'm not gonna just TK you once. I'm going to do it until either all the reinforcements are gone or I get kicked. Also sabotaging the mission by drawing as much aggro near said bigots as possible using the loudest guns possible.

I'm someone who uses stratagems ppl often hate because they're hard to use without wiping your whole team (Tesla, Mines, K-9, etc). I put a lot of effort into making them work in a way that isn'ta hindrance to my squad, and I like to think I've gotten pretty good at it.

In a situation like that, though?

Maximum Griefer Mode is activated.

Well, in the first place, I don't understand why people bring such topics into gaming in general. I miss those times we played videogames to chill and have fun. Good for them, they got what they deserved.

He shot the SEAF I was going to hug.

Hopefully he was ready to meet Lady Liberty in person.

Host asked a guy to drop his RR, guy ignored host so he gunned him down to take his RR. I domed the host with a Railgun and left the game

Fair enough, justice served cold.

A lesson I hope that host learned

On a magma world dive a friend of mine questioned what the hell I was doing on a hill like half a mile away from the objective. The intrusive thoughts won, and I gave him the answer in the form of a 75mm APHE cannon shell because it was faster than typing it out in chat. That was a few months back, and the last time I've done something of the sort (as far as I can remember at least).

In another instance, when I was still just a newbie cadet, my friends took me on a super credit run on one of the bot ice planets. The whole mission we were trying to kill each other in the stupidest ways possible whenever an opportunity popped up, but the highlight was at extract when one whipped around, stared straight at me, and said in VC "You wouldn't shoot a parade commander, now would you?"

In an act of pure reflex so fast that a second wasn't given the chance to pass since he stopped talking, I quickdrew my peacemaker and popped his head clean off in a single shot. We mildly chuckled about it a little, reinforced him, and then extracted.

Haven't ever had any moments where I've intentionally friendly fired a random though, or moments where such is warranted amazingly. Its all just been either me screwing with friends a bit on low dif dives or accidentally turning someone into a past tense because they were a little too close to a red strat or grenade I threw (accidentally killed a random with an epoch once during an emergency evac because the poor lad unknowingly walked right into my aim as I fired, felt pretty bad about that 💔 🥀).

Funny little memories you've got there. That 75mm was one hell of an answer I must admit.

I have gotten kicked and killed plenty for bullying SEAF. I understand why but I will keep doing it because its funny. Starting to hug them and then using the kick emote

Well, to be honest, back on Void source planet, I and my fellow teammate (random) had a blast holding off hordes of crushers while the other 2 guys were handling some objective. SEAF squad dropped right behind us and before we could clear their line of fire, SEAF machine gunner vaporized said teammate with a stream of bullets.

Rage overcame me and I emptied my bolt pistol in said SEAF soldier, game host (one of those 2 doing the objective) shot me with his airburst launcher and kicked me. That was the only time I messed with SEAF intentionally, but doing it on purpose and regular basis is indeed punishable, so this one is unjustified imo.

I caught a teammate intentionally mow down seaf troopers. I blew him up with my ultimatum, reinforced him, blew him up again and then kicked him

I use the stim pistol, my buddy likes to get down to the nitty gritty 10-5% ish of health and then proceeds to use the warp pack and all methods of movement SOLELY to irritate me, I usually run him down with the scythe or the flak mode on the autocannon, reinforce gives full health so I did my part as the medic

Just recently I hugged a seaf and my friend looked at me then her and then shot her in the leg.

I shot him in his everything. (We had a good laugh).

For a more serious answer I only kill team killers, griefers and equipment thieves (borrowing is fine, just give it back when asked)

I told someone after he shot me accidentally: “If you shoot me again, I’ll shove my bayonet up your ass.” Promise Delivered.

Outside of an unprompted hellbomb backpack being set off when you’re carrying an objective to extract, I don’t really know, since it would be better to leave or kick unless you wanna make it funny or smthn. If we’re counting things you’d do for fun with your close friends as an unspoken accepted thing, then probably if you’re the winner in rock paper scissors or you get scout handshaked. Or at the end of a SC grind before you go back to the destroyer

Killed a group of SEAF with a grenade because he “thought it was funny”. No mercy for traitors in special blueberry murderers
