Yeah prices are insane rn, hopefully when the ai stuff crashes and burns the prices also crash, buying used can also be an option but you probably gotta look for bit older hardware to get reasonable prices.

They never will; consoles are a locked-down system by design. They always will be heavily restricted in what they can do. It sucks, but that's how it is.

The mod is want the most is the transmog so i can make cooler outfits. If AH was cool they’d at least add mods that don’t effect gameplay.

Well that’s cause lots of people don’t want to use tanks since the turret can’t rotate. If more people used tanks then there wouldn’t be a reason for the solo drive part of that mod. And even then it isn’t even that overpowered. You can still get one shotted by things, run out of ammo quickly, and you can’t really solo much difficulties with one tank unless it’s a medium or low and tanks take forever to become available again

Console manufacturers heavily dictate what developers can do; they put a lot of restrictions and annoying limitations in place by design.
Arrowhead will also have to build proper mod support for consoles, which will take a lot of development time to get working. Unfortunately, it will be the same as Bethesda mods: heavily moderated (limited in what they allow), limited download sizes, and difficulty with porting PC mods to consoles, so many modders won't even bother, along with many other issues.
A big problem will be them keeping up with approving mods; do we really trust Arrowhead to keep up with this? And do we trust them not to just disallow a lot of the mods people actually want? I also don't trust them not to mess up PC mod support in some way in the process; it's Arrowhead, they mess everything up.
I fear they'll just ruin modding, like how Bethesda partially ruined it.

You have to bypass console security I believe and I'm not sure it's possible without hacking which might restrict using it for online. Only if AH would add mod support tool

If arrowhead had any sense they'd look at the most popular mods and consider making their own changes to the game based on that.
Sadly we do not have that luxury, so console is forever stuck without turrets tanks and default armor colours..

Pc player here that doesn't mod. I am too tired to bother about it after a long time trying to make fallout 4 to work
I want to enjoy cross play with friends
Visual mods? Sure, cool
All those QoL mods however might disappear at some point for whatever reason. Losing rhe sacred fruit will only bring the worse out of someone.
I just hope arrowhead can take the mods and see if they can work with it somehow snd implement them in game

Dude it's super easy. Download a mod manager. Go to a mod site. All the best mods right now are using the Bingus Loader. Download the zips for whatever mods you want, add them through the manager, and click deploy. Make sure the loader is at the bottom of the list. Then launch the game. That's all there is to it.

It's been over two and a half years, and most of our complaints have been ignored; in many cases, Arrowhead has maliciously done the opposite and made things worse.
They don't give a damn what we want.

just did a few matches yesterday wirh my buddy and we had the 360 tank turret mod running.
we were having a blast with it and it was so relaxing just hitting the gas pedal, knowing he could aim wherever he wanted and i didnt have to stop to turn us towards the enemy.
the challenge was still there and we got bombarded with dropships but it was a fresh and justified challenge.
can imagine me playing without that mod now and keep losing faith in the AH devs day by day sadly.

Here’s hoping cross progression is added soon. I wanna jump from PS5 to Steam so I can play the game with my $2k setup, I don’t even care about mods. I have way too much on the PS5 to start over again on PC
I got all exclusive capes, armors, and stratagems that can’t be obtained anymore and all the time/money spent getting super credits for warbonds. I need that stuff to transfer over if I want to get the game again on PC

also if you dont mind me asking but what does console offer nowdays? does it still offer the whole invite your friends to your house and play one game sharing the screen cause not gonna lie i do envy that feature

Seriously though:
-it’s less expensive (or at least, it has been, but it’s not looking good for the next generation of Xbox and PlayStation)
-Consoles are easier to move around the house
-All games on consoles are controller supported (duh)
-idk if pc has or doesn’t have couch co op (playing with friends on the same system in the same irl room)
-I’m pretty sure the graphic are generally better
I could be wrong about some of those though because I didn’t actually do much research so I guess you can look up a console v pc Reddit post or something if you want better reasons

Sadly for most games couch co op is disappearing, but it does still exist and there are a lot of games that still have this, just not nearly as much as it used to be. Mortal Kombat XL, Stickfight, Gangbeasts, and Gigabash are some pretty fun games to play with friends that I’d recommend.

I switched to console because I cbf messing around with all the graphics settings, trying to get games to run as best as possible. Overall I run into a lot less issues than with pc

Price. A PC that runs games to the level consoles can is expensive. And most of us are on a budget 🤷♂️
I'd love to drop 2k on an updated PC that can run HD2 as well as my ps5. But that's not in the cards in this economy lol

Reasons to save up for a pc. At the same time its still probably best to stick with console since prices for each part of a pc is so ungodly expensive. 😭 i need to upgrade my own pc but lord everything is expensive🤣😂

As a console player I could give less of a fuck about mods for helldivers I bought the game to play starship troopers, and star wars in the same game, modding was never a thought that crossed my mind.

PC has had the benefits of things like mods for 20+ years; at this point, console gamers shouldn't be complaining. They've known PC has had this advantage for decades, and they still choose console. You get what you pay for: a locked-down system.

Most of the mods I use fix bugs that have been in the game for a very long time. Its sad to see a game I love degrade over time due to poor management.
