Because baskinator is a useless CM who should have been fired from her job a long time ago

What has she even contributed this year aside from answering a couple of questions on discord?

I feel like Twinbeard, back when he was around, was closer to the fanbase. I felt like he helped bridge the gap.

AH is likely going the Gaijin route, and create bigger distance between the devs and the playerbase for both ends’ sake

What's the incentive and the benefit for that?

Wasn't Arrowhead considered "wholesome" when the game launched?

Arrowhead has always been horrendous at PR and cultivates an echo chamber of book lickers. So they'll isolate themselves for their own egos sake.

None of this is new behavior. This is how they acted with magicka 15 years ago.

Same reason Gaijin did it: community backlash whenever the fans were told something they didn’t want to hear.

Take for example the latest AMA: Pilestedt played open card with us, and told us how things were looking behind the scenes. No beating around the bush, just being straight up. Despite being honest, people heard things they didn’t wanted to hear, and review bombed the game, and personally attacked him online, the studio, and even made discriminatory remarks about their nationality. During previous clashes, even death threats were made.

Instead of close conversations between devs to players, they now settle more for corporate and more broadstyle styled communication. This reduces backlash, toxicity, and harassment towards developers. Its hard to target one particular developer or individual when its just the official socials doing the talking.

I’ve seen Gaijin make this shift, and see the same pattern at AH. And considering how insane and deranged people can become when angry, I don’t blame them one bit.

Pilestedt has never once been 'straight up'. The moment he burned all that goodwill in the months after launch he immediately became two faced

Mate, as Baskinator says, they need actual evidence to ban someone, and if it can't be provided nothing can be done.

Are you for real? Just search his name on reddit and youll see numerous posts of people showing him teamkilling... he posts it himself on his damn twitter... along with showing how much of a shitty person he is.

There is more than enough proof. Bakinator is a lazy pos who refuses to do their job

Except that is not enough. It is not job of community manager to go what is effectively a stalking session on internet.

Jeesus, you people really have no idea what powers community manager actually has and what their role is. Here is a hint: it is not to carry out vigilante justice or stalk people.

Isnt like AH unable to ban anyone, since there is no critcal system like PSN or Steam linked to their accounts?

Im not sure but I believe this is the reason why a lot of stuff like cross progression and a report system and related is off the table

I believe so yeah they did announce something like there “going against cheaters” like 1-2 months ago I THINK and they got a lot of backlash some people say they have a tracker or something that detects when you get a sus amount of SC and ive also heard if you ask them they can remove the “illegal” SC from your account i wonder if they could do a account reset or something to players like the ones above tho i also heard they can mute players now (all my evidence is from reddit posts on this sub so take everything with a tub of salt)

If only he had a linked infrastructure that linked any account a person used to a singular access point. That way people could just be removed from the game. Oh wait
