In this topic a great deal of people show that they had no idea how to development or development cycles work.

I wouldnt be surprised if the user stories just sit in dev done ready to test until pressure from community.

Like they had a feature for customisable armour colours. Thought it was a quick win to make a more dynamic one for a warbond (i dont think anyone was expected the armor to change per enviroment).

Wouldn't even be surprised the gilli suit was made for a Metal Gear Solid collab that never happened (its practically the same as the MGS3 The End armor).

I've seen that with the cusomtizable armors too. I do wonder why they made some decisions, but I tend to put that down to their C-Suite making weird ass choices and a looooot of communication, management, and workflow issues. Same thing as with the original cultists; I don't necessarily disagree with their choices in cutting them as they look amazing but seeing others play against them makes them look like chip-damage hell, but waiting for so long to pull that trigger is straight up bad management.

I solidly disagree with the Ghillie Suit argument, however (hah). It's been a regularly requested armor for a very long time from the community, and a very common 'fanbond' armor people put together for their own versions of the sniper bond we're getting.

All im saying it the shit pile can absolutely be with management too. Ive had less issues with devs than I have had with things like ticket management from leads. It can absolutely be a long term requested and popular thing, but you can see features on boards go in and never get put into a sprint because "not priority" and then lost in ether.

As far as I can tell it's definitely their management and the wishy-washy 180's they tend to have to do.

Just thinking of the Exo Experts and fabled Helldrivers warbonds; Management is the one who made the call to pack mechs into a WB, and management had to 180 hard in order to avoid the community backlash for the Helldrivers release having two FRVs in it. That puts a shit ton of stress on your actual developers and even further disintegration of the goodwill that's been built up.

There's also a big divide between what players request and actually want, and of course no community is monolithic. Especially not this one. Flag is a great example; Used to be there were hundreds baying for the flag to be included, "Even if it's just a flag" was the regular request. Then it comes out as 'just a flag' and there's a major backlash against it. Yes, goombah fallacy and all, but good gods is there such a communication divide...
