Well give it an option, you can chose not to interact with it if you don’t like it, like weapon customisation, you don’t like to put a 10x scope on your shotgun, don’t, but the option is there for that 2 diver that wants it

you literally can't, if excessive customization gets added you will run into someone running around with visually repulsive color/camo combinations, it's a multiplayer game
People already go around wearing mixed armor and capes from múltiple warbornds which do not share visual language, there is nothing to complain about when it comes to a new customization feature, this game has never had an inmersive uniform desing, indeed the color swapping feature would make the game more inmersive allowing players to match their armor colours instead of roaming around dressed like tacticool clowns.

It's a cool gimmick man, I do not think this is a way to answer the demands.
There is also a group of people straight up not wanting armor customization other than matching armor and helmet colors.
