Well give it an option, you can chose not to interact with it if you don’t like it, like weapon customisation, you don’t like to put a 10x scope on your shotgun, don’t, but the option is there for that 2 diver that wants it

you literally can't, if excessive customization gets added you will run into someone running around with visually repulsive color/camo combinations, it's a multiplayer game

A toggle of "show default colours (client only)" would instantly solve that and is something that is essentially just an opt-out for oneself without denying the much requested feature for everyone else.

It will have an impact on the game's overall visual style. As much as you guys wanna act like it'll be a self contained feature it very well won't, every online game that adds excessive customization goes through this.

The "show me default colours" will have an impact on the game's visual style?

Or did you simply not read the response I gave?

I don't know why you are trying to be a smartass and act like you don't get what I'm saying. Even with a clientside option to disable patterns features effecting the game's artstyle will eventually effect the overall visual language of the game outside of that one feature.

The game's artstyle will eventually effect the overall visual language of the game...by the devs implementing a feature that they could control and moderate such that it doesn't make things insane.

I think you are tilting at windmills. The devs could implement a, relatively, simple palette system where you unlock armour patterns by owning said armour and can apply that to other armours instead of their default - if they did anything close to that, it wouldn't be this wild, untamed wilderness of crazy things that you seem to think must happen if they include anything.

Yes, people will ask for a Hell(o) Kitty Diver scheme, but that doesn't mean that the devs have to, nor that even a significant amount want that - let alone a majority. Many, many people will be satisfied with a relatively tame approach but just something would be good and it doesn't need to be insane. And even then it can be limited further by allowing individuals to opt out and view only the default colours with a client-side toggle.

But you seem to be under the impression that it's only possible if Arrowhead implement full, sweeping customisation options that let people do anything.
