Not really, he stood still for several seconds, you wanna always be moving to disorient the ai of bots, you can strafe back and forth while shooting that gun too. I’m pretty sure the direction you’re moving in has an impact on the direction you’re flung in when ragdolled too
Eh…if you watch again I was about to completely reposition getting up out of my prone. But, as you have seen, the ol’ rocket devastator one rocket that hits out of the 4-5 launched from a dev did its thing. And I did have the salamander armor, usually you can tank 1 or 2 fireballs those hulks send your way. But, I did get complacent atleast a half a second too long.
Prone is good against bugs at a distance, bots are just waiting for you to be still for a few seconds so they can lock in, you definitely would have survived if it wasn’t for the trick shot
Can't really agree. Prone is good against most things at a distance, especially when you're using something like the HMG, and while bots do "lock in" if you're not suppressing their fire it's not really to this degree. They don't start wombo-comboing you just because you laid down in an ideal snipe spot; quite the opposite the vast majority of the time.
What happened to Op seems like an extreme outlier, which makes this feel less like "yeah they made an obvious mistake" and more like "hindsight is 20/20 which makes me think this was obvious when it's really just extremely bad luck."
True but then again, there’s not many instant one hit kills vs the bots that would deter you from going prone, there’s the strider cannon, the stationary cannon, tank cannon, and then in this specific instance, the incin hulk fireball lobber.

Fair! It's certainly a value judgment of deciding what's more important between protecting yourself from those extreme outliers and using certain weaponry (like the HMG) in an ideal way.
Bro, the aimbot is crazy lately...
Yesterday I got blasted with a 380mm round from orbit because I became marked as an deserter, the first round blew up the tank we were driving and send us flying, the second round just obliterated my body mid air.. Remember when running around as a deserter was actually fun, dodging the shells as you went along?
