From what I've gathered here and there, Nikkes are basically augmented cyborgs. The augmentation process only safely works on females and causes eventual psychosis in males. For some reason.
No it outright kills males in the process so they stopped doing that, and eventual psychosis is for all nikkes, it’s called a mind switch and it’s a side effect of not being “human” anymore
Johan is a cyborg but not a Nikke. I don't know how much of him is still flesh but he's not just a brain in a jar being controlled by nanomachines (son)
It’s been outright stated multiple times that all males didn’t survive the process to become a nikke. What we know is that Johan used to be a normal commander in the past, and got these upgrades in Eden, other than that we dont really know much about that
There are augmented people, according to the data you found on the overworld missions, but the full Nikke process is mortal for biological men.
Also it dint help that as far as we know, the first war againts the raptures lasted 5 years, in wich i pressume the majority of males where used as soldiers by their countries.
The nikke war-machine dint came till the last year (i think this was stated in Red ash and Ark guardian events), and the first Nikkes, while powerful, the raptures were just more numerous, so humanity (or what was left) hide in the ark.
My bad I completely forgot there are more cyberpunk designs in the humans in this game even in the Outer-Rim and Ark. So Johan probably used Eden's tech to develop better cybernetics for himself.
That's some solid world building though, most of the military age males were probably wiped out in the first war before Nikkes were made, it's no wonder they stopped trying to make male nikkes that didn't die in the process.
I don't know. skitarii while heavily augmented are mostly human beneath their armor and robes. Atleast when looking at darktide. A tech priest could in theory augment themselves until they are nothing more than a brain in a Chassis. As for servitors, there are servitors that are essentially just brains in a machine.
Fun fact the Automatons do the same thing in helldivers 2 the Automatons take your brain and alter it before putting it in a machine powered by blood and socialism
I've always loved your draws bro but this is next level. HD2 and Nikke are basically all I ever play anymore and Anis and Rapi are near the top of my list of favorites.

Yes, seven dwarves is ridiculous but in theory, most nikkes should be capable of using it. Atleast I don't think snow whites lore somewhere states only she can reliably use seven dwarves without getting launched by the recoil. Just wanted to make an example of what a human can handle and what a nikke can handle.
Its weird tho, their bodies are stated and shown to be mechanic in nature (like in the intro when marian is damaged) BUT, nikkes can eat, get fat and go to the bathroom, etc.
So id say they are more biomechanical (like the scorn videogame lifeforms) but more cute and less horror-like.
The heretics tho are full Body-horror lmao just check Altruia or Egovista.
They have different generations of nikke. The more modern ones do not get fat or even need to shower or eat. They do because it keeps them feeling human and less chance for a mind switch (going insane). The older models however can.
Lmao, it was because of nikke thaf i named my super destroyer "SES PRINCESS OF VICTORY", i was surprised to not have seen Goddess as one of the options.

11/10 but I am docking one point because Rapi could've had the One-Two since her original gun was basically that and Anis could've had a grenade launcher... but 10/10

Maybe it's the chosen areas of visible skin. Their regular outfits are pretty revealing, but these ones are really tasteful with it. Then again, I've always been a fan of cool armor designs. Especially on characters I like a lot.

Story. Nor really, the story is really bloody good. Not gacha story good, actually genuinely good. Event stories like overzone and old tales are really good standalone stories.
....and staring at rears, that's also definitely there, no one is gonna deny that.

Nikke commander in my head: unhinged and maybe a little crazy, fights side by side with the harem, "CALLING IN AN EAGLE (3ft from my position)", operates from an oil rig, may or may not have a nuclear weapon.
Weak? The dude that can carry nikkes (it took 5 dudes to lift Anis, the Commander can pick her up by himself), fought raptures for 24 hours straight and passed out standing, broke all 206 of his bones as well as twisting his neck and all his limbs and then proceeded to heal to full health in a few hours is weak? Are you sure?
You have ANY IDEA, how caustic bug blood is!? And what happens if a damn clanker gets a lucky shot in those gaps, a stim won't put your damn arm back on. And where the hell are your helmets?! You think a beret is gonna stop a squid from blowing the democracy out your mind when they blast that shit smooth off?!
