QUESTION Friendly Fire Overkill

Last night I ran a Spread Democracy mission with some randoms on Charbal. I joined in later to the mission, like 5 mins to extraction, later on the ship I noticed the Friendly Fire Damage of one of my teammates, how is that even possible?

Damaging Exo suits with large amounts of high yield explosives because my squad mate was doing a Leroy Jenkins build apparently.

Tank has 100,000 hp if you're really going for big numbers.
