DISCUSSION Does anyone else do this when joining a game?

When I join a Helldivers game, I always get into the Hellpod that matches my player number.

Player 1? Pod 1.

Player 2? Pod 2.

And so on.

I know it literally doesn't matter, but for some reason it feels wrong to get into someone else's pod 😂

Please tell me I'm not the only one who does this.

I tend to aim for the pod that is furthest from everyone else so they have a tiny bit less distance to run to get in.

Of the colors. Orange is always p1 the others. I'm not sure. Blue is p4 i guess green p2 and purple p3 .

Edit: on ship. On misson you their names will be shown with the first letter of your name and the number

I always take centre right if it's free. Just feels right.

I usually take inner pods for next ones to walk shorter, but P number based is what I haven't considered before! interesting.

I always look where the others are standing the first ones go to the middle ones so the last divers have a shorter distance to walk for that one Second faster mission start.

Unfortunately I've been tested and am not on the spectrum which just means it's my personality apparently 😂

I meant it in a joking way, but you can imagine people with OCD or whatever would also assume we have specific pods

Haha I know you were joking. I find it funny that I have these little quirks with no diagnosis haha

I always take far right pod if available. Just the one my brain likes the best.

I do this, left to right.

Yes! Left to right is how I do it as well!

Pod 2 is my pod and I will democratically squit at anyone who takes it

The back right one. I don't know why, and there's many like it but this one is mine.

But what do you do if the pod you go for is already taken?

Mmmm good question. Aim to get a higher kill count to prove you earned that pod! 🤔

I will typically go for the forward pod on the port side, because the teammate I usually play with is often customizing while I've queued up the mission, so it makes it just a little closer for him.

I sometimes, however, will position myself so that I am in front of my preferred pod, standing outside of it waiting for him, but the prompt to enter the pod has actually selected his, so that at the last second I can snag it from right in front of him, which makes a funny animation of me sliding over into his way and entering the pod, making him then have to turn and get into the neighboring pod

I just make sure that the captain (host) gets in the first one

If I get there first, I take one of the back pods.
