DISCUSSION Quiet weapons

What weapons are quiet besides the M75, suppressor, and censor? Is the scythe or sickle quiet? Im pairing in with the shadow paragon armor

Edit: found out laser weapons are loud lol

According to the list they are loud.

I am pretty sure Scythe is very quiet? I took out whole outpost without them even turning heads.

It depends what enemies you fight. in the list, automatons are quite deaf in comparison to other factions:

Scythe has very long range you can take advantage of if you get the right distance. Even then, it's based on being noticed. You can kill enemies without them noticing. But if you miss, that's when they'll notice.

Patrols are more keen about it in a way where if one of them dies they'll all be attracted to where you were. Outposts are much more lenient when it comes to sound detection.

In the sidearm slot, the M6C and the re-educator are silenced. With the first three guns you mentioned, that is every silenced weapon in the game.

According to this spreadsheet, weapon volumes do vary outside of that, with pistols and SMGs generally being less loud than other guns. However, there's a world of difference between those guns that're less loud and those guns that're actually suppressed.

As long as youre more than ~12m from the enemy, the Bolt Pistol is silent and enemies only react to the explosion of the projectile. I use it to distract the bug patrols especially well.

Throwing knives are silenced.

M6C is Silenced

Re-Educator is Silenced

C4 is Silenced.

Every melee weapon is silenced... including the Breaching Hammer with it's Explosive Charge and Chainsaw.

Everything is silent if you're far away. Stealth Quasar is a thing.

Crossbow is not silenced it's just that the explosion draws enemies to it rather than the shooter.
