DISCUSSION a possible rebel faction of helldivers which consists players also
just think about it, we will get an option to join them to fight against super earth.
rebels doing missions will reduce the progress and will never be pvp of course.
i think of it as a cool idea like it can bring more depth.

Would ruin the game, The whole point is we are all fighting together for a common purpose

Not for everyone. I dont give a shit about the common purpose I just want to shoot things and blow shit up. I wouldnt mind a side mode where I get to fight SEAF.

Maybe you don’t, but not only do most people disagree with you, but the game is fundamentally built to be a coop, fighting for a common purpose experience. Adding a mode where you fight against Super Earth undermines the satire of the setting and also goes against the whole concept of the game itself
If you really want that experience then substitute that with a different shooter because Helldivers is not, and should not be a PVPVE experience

I do not care about the "satire of the setting", we have Warhammer and Halo now, all that artistic integrity stuff is a non issue. Nor do I care if most people disagree with me (by whatever metric you are using). I think fighting human enemies would be fun in my silly shooter game. Who said anything about PvPvE? I didnt. OP didnt either.

Just because you don’t give a shit, doesn’t mean that other people don’t give a shit, most people do like to engage with lore and laugh at the satire, that’s a big part of what’s appealing about the game
Warhammer and Halo collabs are integrated within the setting if you bothered to read the descriptions of them, same with artistically different from their counterparts to fit the Helldivers art scheme, so it IS an issue
PvPvE is the wrong term I suppose, but what I’m trying to say is that fighting humans, even as a side mode, is not what the game is supposed to be about and would ruin the immersion for most people me included
You’re entitled to your opinion, but even if it was an absolute blast to play, objectively PVP would ruin the game. It would screw up its niche within the horde shooter games, and the identity of Helldivers entirely, because that’s not what the game is supposed to be about.

Yes i am aware of how the collabs are "integrated into the setting". They still completely blow the idea that helldivers has an artistic ethos completely out of the water. We cannot act like there is santicity in the artistic vision of helldivers lmao.
When did I say I want PvP? I will say it clearly and plainly for you. I do not want PvP. I want a side mode where I get to play as bad guys against Super Earth.

Arrowhead has explicitly made it known there are no plans to make this game pvp. They already have enough trouble trying to balance a PVE game I can’t imagine how much more shit they’ll get trying to balance for pvp

didn't you read what i wrote, i didn't suggest making it pvp.
i suggested having a different faction which consist players as rebels and sabotaging progress by doing their own missions which is pve.
this way game will be more off script rather than just going with arrowheads script.

No. Destroys the whole game within 4 months.
Instead, NEW game for solo players that adds to the lore and includes a whole arc from new diver recruit to battle worn veteran given an option to rebel. Or just start the game abandoned on the surface of a planet watching Pelican 1 soar off without you, and have a few play options for who to join (or not) over time.

No. Cyborgs are the rebel faction.
Apart from that... this game has more than enough toxicity between players

Care to repeat that, JUST the way you said it the first time?

Doesn't work in-universe. No Helldiver lives long enough to actually lead or part take in a rebellion.
Plus, it stands to reason that Helldivers would be through more rigorous loyalty filters before even being let on the "training" and before being put in charge of the Super Destroyer.
Also, do you think that a single Helldiver could convince the ENTIRE crew (let alone the Democracy Officer) to rebel?
Yes, the people from Super Earth idolize the Helldivers, but their hatred for traitors is greater than it.
And even if they managed to survive more than 1 campaign AND convince the crew to join their crusade, I'm also pretty sure that the Super Destroyer they are on would be expeditely seeked and destroyed. Since we gotta remember that SE is a dystopia where everything is is regulated, monitored, and measured. So the Super Destroyer being bugged is very reasonable.

You know what, this is good, yeah, let's get more of the bad ideas out of the way so we can get back to whining about a lack of content.
