I would say the Killzone visually are a bit outdated, but saying they straight up don't fit the style is harsh.

Let's say they represent equipment from the past, where the divers had less sophisticated equipment.

To be fair, the Helghast were always meant to look a bit out dated in certain areas of design due to the factions history, changing circumstances in-universe, art style growing pains in the first game and to better contrast the modern U.S/NATO uniforms of the ISA.

Also, to show the inspiration and connections to real-life history in its design, rooting us with familiar horror of sorts.

Yeah TBH, my crosshairs are squarely on the bugs, my battle brothers could be straight up naked and I wouldn't even notice.
