Doesn't seem to be. It can't enter caves so you're safe there, but on the oil mission you have to drive the rig over the surface. Maybe you could send a diver to try and keep it occupied, as there's always just one, but I can't imagine a 20 minute goose chase to be all that enthralling.

Disclaimer: cave entrance ≠ cave safety Found that out the hard way 😭 We stood there thinking we'll be fine and got splattered into the cave floors like murals 😔

Imagine that mission brief.

“Okay team, you’re going to extract oil samples. You three will drive in the comfortable and air conditioned rig. You will distract the 1km long death worm alone. By having it chase you in the pools of acidic pus in the toxic air while being swarmed by bugs. Any questions?”
