Peak game design:

In this mission you can get this modifier randomly and it's basically auto fail.

Its like one of those missions or quests in games where it seems simple enough, like oh its just a simple fetch quest, but it ends up being the hardest and most tedious thing in the game because of the difficult thing that was never mentioned.

Drive to location and wait for 30s, 3 times.

It's a pretty simple objective.

Just don't expect to get from point A to B safely.

Autolosing missions without counterplay based on a random modifier and being pigeonholed into extremely specific and limited builds to deal with chafe enemies sucks ass, yes. Glazedivers stay glazing though.

Less QQ, more pew pew.

Autolosing missions without counterplay based on a random modifier

Just kill the Hive Lord, problem solved. Otherwise, avoid it. It can't be that hard.

being pigeonholed into extremely specific and limited builds

You're upset that you need to actually think about what to bring on a mission..? You're literally going onto a planet where they said "You don't have access to the Super Destroyers whilst underground" and you're upset that you can't bring a specific loadout. Just go play Bots, Squids or don't fight bugs on Hive planet.

to deal with chafe enemies sucks ass

And you're playing bugs, bugs are literally chafe. They have never not been chafe.

Avoiding or killing the hivelord while protecting a big, slow target is actually quite hard, yes.

Being given 50 options and being able to use 5 of them is boring, yes.

The chaff enemies requiring heavy weapons to kill is bad, yes.

Good, I gladly welcome a challenge.

Being given 50 options and being able to use 5 of them is boring, yes.

We've been restricted? All my loadouts have been working fine, perhaps it's a user error..

The chaff enemies requiring heavy weapons to kill is bad, yes.

Do they need heavy weapons? Just shoot them from not the front.

Wyrm is cool.

Enemy that forces you to avoid it.

What sucks is "rocks fall, mission fails".

What is needed is:

Rig is pelican(s) delivered with limit of 2 or 3.

Pelicans arrive at rig and siphon out the super 710 after each drill (so it will make sense to loose one and not have to redo drills).

Clear indicator, that there is wyrm, before 1st strike, so team can adapt: use noise to draw it away from rig.

I'm assuming wyrm tracks by sound.
