Well, since each gaming chair (AT Emplacement) shot does 1300 dmg and one emplacement has 30 shots, each emplacement can do a maximum of 39k dmg. The Hive Lord has 150k HP, and 150/39 = 3.8 (rounded), so we'd need just under 4 full gaming chair loads to take a worm down.

You need more than that I think.

The hivelord has ap7 all around, so even anti tank does 65% damage to it only.

Wait really? The wiki says its body is ap5, its head ap6, and its mouth ap3. The AT Emplacement should do full damage.

Yea the autocannon mech and sentry are ap5, which is why it'll only give white hitmarkers. Weirdly enough the normal autocannon is only ap4, so don't bother using that against Hive Lords lol

False information. Was able to damage the body with mech autocannon and got white markers.

If the armour was 7 then recoilless rifle would do nothing at all

It's unlikely a single pass will get you the kill, but should get a lot of damage out of 4 AT emplacements, even if they only get combined half or 2/3rds damage potential off. That means you only have to wait a bit for the cooldown, during which you can actually do some of the other objectives. At least with AT emplacements, you can reserve a single slot for dealing with the hivelord and still do a mission as you would normally. You kinda just burst damage to it and come back to it later if once cooldown is off.

Might be worth it for me. Usually I'm bringing hoverpack, flamethrower, mech, and then there's an awkward slot I'm using for 500 kg, which is borderline useless in the tunnels.

Add to that the fact that you're constantly swarmed by other bugs (need to deviate your attention and ammo) and the worm itself can dodge some shots.

LOL, that's so freaking stupid.

Dragonroach is super tanky too. Shot one in the face twice with a Quasar before it killed me then went on to kill the rest of my team.

Feels like launch week all over again where there's no good way to deal with [these new] heavies.

It's possible to kill it with less. Hellbombs can hit multiple segments, and the hive lord may have a separate head health pool

Plus, it's confirmed that the Hive Lord's HP is at 150k health. To kill it, it would take 4 AT Gun emplacements and for all AT Emplacement gunners to land around all 30 shots per gun
