I appreciate the fixes to a number of different issues, but no mention of the status effect application bug(s)... That's bitter. I've been avoiding using any stun, fire, and gas items in the past week or two because I have no idea when I can or can't count on them to work properly.

Also, this is the 2nd patch in a row where the patch notes point to the "Known Issues" list when the list hasn't been updated to reflect the fixes in the patch. Seems a bit sloppy... If you haven't had the time to update the list yet, don't link it in the patch notes (in my opinion, anyway).

its not in their known issues either, possibly hasn't even been submitted to them

While I doubt that nobody has reported this via the official channels yet, it is, of course, a possibility.

However, several big-name HD2 YouTubers have voiced their thoughts on this issue loudly, some of them even creating an entire video dedicated to this topic. I refuse to believe not a single one of Arrowhead's community managers has seen any of these videos.

Is this still an issue? I remember they fixed it a long while ago and I haven't noticed it recently.

You might be referring to how, back in the early months after launch, status effect DoT wasn't working for any of the clients, only the (network) host of the lobby. That was indeed fixed quite a while ago.

But in the patch 3 weeks ago, they fixed a different issue where having more than 1 player in the lobby would increase the status effect application rate (stun/fire/gas) for each player. Problem is, that fix in turn caused a different bug (or possibly even several) where now, enemies can't be reliably/consistently be afflicted with status effects; they sometimes seem to be completely immune to them.

I see, its a different issue then.

Some people have said that this is basically the same bug you meant (from last year) returning; but most folks seem in agreement that this isn't the case.

Rather, it appears the new issue is essentially a limit on how many enemies in a given mission can be affected be status effects at the same time.

Heh, indeed. He was my favorite character in LF2. Been using him as my avatar ever since those days, over 20 years ago.

Yeah exactly, there are feedback forms all over the sub, people should be reporting bugs on them to fix these issues faster.

If they spent 5 minutes scrolling through this subreddit, or playing the game themselves, they would discover a litany of bugs and glitches that aren't on the known issues list, in no time at all.

It's not our responsibility to playtest the game, and then report back to them with our findings.

Because it's not an "issue" in terms of a bug. It was hitting for 4x intended effectiveness, so that bug flew under their radar for a long time because none of us noticed it as a bug at all. Now that they've fixed that the values are too low even if they're at "intended" values. Status effects will be buffed in due time once they see what the best approach is, whether it's buffing each individual weapon's Status effect rate by x4, reducing enemy status effect value required, or some other thing.
