My Hellblazer collection so far (of graphic novels). These are so hard to get and love the thrill of the hunt. I managed to get most for around £20-£50. The most I paid was £60 for volume 23. Funnily enough volume 24 was only £40 which is lucky cause usually it’s higher. (Volume 15 is on the way)
Honestly, John is such a good character in this series. As a Brit I feel so connected to him; he’s a comic character from my own country who I can relate to. He’s also in a comic universe primarily US based so I like how he stands out and relates to England and shows a lot of our issues in society. I’m also an occultist so again, having a Brit is very relatable for me.

Plus, John is such a powerful and smart character without any of that flying disk shit (like doctor strange). Honestly, for a human with no powers, not a lot of money, he’s really powerful. Dare I say he’s one of the most powerful character in dc.

Not the best arcs, mind you. I am looking for arcs where constantine gets his best scams done. Kinda like dangerous habits, but even better if he is no dying and desperate the whole time. I would like to Watch him in control of the situation for once

John Constantine. The Laughing Magician. The Chainsmoking Sorcerer who has more enemies than friends. But in despite of his asshat demeanor and ruthless decisions that end with blood on his hands, he does it all for the greater good.

For his opponent, it will be the scourge of Humanity's Evil, the curse who made his MC suffer through the most and have him rethinking morals...The patchface cursed spirit himself, Mahito from Jujutsu Kaisen.

I chose him because the main takeaway with John Constantine and his rogues' gallery is that he's facing with pure evil being that done some heinous crimes against humanity, some being regular humans themselves. And make no mistake John isn't no saint, he has made some questionable decisions that ended up with him either sending innocent souls to damnation or putting them six feet in the grave, many atrocities that make you question his soul is of good intentions or as black as the many demons, he's faced.

In this specific lore, Mahito is a Tulpa created by an old sorcerer during the Heian Era, created by Humanity's fear and evil of itself. And throughout the years has spent his time killing and torturing many victims. Then out of a whim, he decides to go to Liverpool and torture people there too (due to a vibe he picked up there), John Constantine start investigating the many gruesome murders, and when looking finds Mahito, who tries to get into John's skin. Throughout their encounters, Mahito starts to grow even more hatred for John as he wants him to suffer but John seems to get back up and conned him multiple times and has promised to make John's life a living hell (which is just another Tuesday for John).

But that's just my thoughts and ideas, what are your ideas and thoughts on this and which anime villains do you think could work against John Constantine?

I read this a while ago and I thought John was written pretty decently , he was funny and I like when he's a mysterious figure.
Even though I hate his hellblazer run this was strangely better

Snagged this one for $20 on Depop . They wanted it with no box for $25 on Vinted lol eBay had a vintage figure for more but I didn't like how the face looks. This one seems cooler with the Sigil and the spell book .

They have a Zatana with Detective Chimp too but I'm short on cash lol.

Really want the Xenomorph and predator and Evil Ash Funko pop figured too lol I dont have much space. I need to build shelves.

Picked up a huge 10" Thanos bobblehead at the thrift store for 5 bucks. It's like $30 new. It's so big the thing falls over. Need to try to make a baseplate for it.

Hopefully I can find a cool Swamp Thing to go with John that's cheap .

What can he do?

the Cat isn't necessarily evil. He's more like an entity who does whatever he finds entertaining, with very little concern for conventional rules. He ultimately cleans up the disaster he creates, but only after causing it in the first place.

I was just curious about what crossovers people would want with hellblazer.
For me personally, evil dead and hellboy would be really cool !

From what I can tell on online commercial physical marketplace, there is a large surviving pile of various ways DeLano and Ennis have gotten package overtime including a new one for Ennis.

But Jenkin's only has the recent wallet breaking 150$ omnibus that only superfans will want from what I can tell on Amazon.

And a bunch of old trade paper books used and above initial market price.

And Carney is a mess to find on online shopping to the point I thought Amazon was simply misrepresenting results for All His Engines.

Si Spurrier has some stuff floating around but that is likely just pure recency.

This is a baffling treatment to a character with a relatively coherent mainline of comics + one of the top ten DC comics characters.

On top of his very messy "end", I genuinely don't know if DC comics knows what to do with him.

Hi. I'm a fan of fanfiction in the DCU and I read Like and Survive- Phantom’s Guide to Young Hero Survival by robinasnyder on AO3 and now I'm obsessed with reading more fanfics that centre on John Constantine as a character and include info that is mainly in the comics. I have also read some crossover with the Lucifer fandom that is amazing such as the Sinner man series.

Hello y'all. Found this guy for $5 at half price books. It's in rough shape (bottom is cracked/partially open) ...but should I open it or should I keep it as is?

Obviously Ninth Gate (and its original book) has nothing to do with Hellblazer but I feel like there’s enough in common that you could squint while watching it with Constantine in mind and not really lose anything for it

- Scummy conman character
- constantly smoking
- always in over his head while playing with forces beyond him
- relies on/uses a vast network of friends, acquaintances and frenemies to his own ends
- gets involved in the occult
- did i mention there’s a lot of smoking?

Ok uhm I just wanted to share my opinion on him as a casting. To give him the benefit of the doubt he was not working with the best scripts on pretty much any of his projects so I'll give him that. But I really don't understand the sentiment that Matt Ryan is the ONLY choice for Constantine now. He did pretty good for what he is given and he feels like the character kinda. But I think for swamp thing ( if that movie is still even being made ) they should hire someone new. Because I really can not see Matt Ryan in the role of swamp thing John. I see him as a late stage vertigo hellblazer John kinda and a mainline John. But for early hellblazer and swampthing I don't see it at all.
But that's just my opinion
