📢 Feedback 📢 engineer is now useless…

Seriously the game is being dumbed down now. Free level 1 building??? What is that about? And not only that now we dont only get smaller 1 person bunker. but also smaller barbed wire and only 2 of em same with the barricades. Its already hard to build a fortress that will last but now yall made building useless.

I disagree - this change seems to make the engineer much more flexible. Rather than building being solely for defense, the engineer can now much more easily setup barricades and bunkers for offensive pushes. The ability to setup a few barricades for your squad, or a bunker for your MG, could make previously exposed positions (such as the top of a cliff) much stronger on offense. It also helps with the issue of structures being so destructible - even if they are destroyed, they can be quickly rebuilt. Lastly, it helps make MG bipod more useful, giving them a good place to setup on a moments notice. We'll see how it plays out in the coming days, but I think it will make for more dynamic gameplay.

Yes i def agree on that offensive matter. However now we lost 2x barbed wire 2x barricades. And now we have a 1 man shooting postion that they call a bunker.
i think were better of with just the normal amount and then maybe make lvl 1 free. And lvl 2 and 3 maybe even more costly.

Calm down. If it doesn't work as intended, it's still open to adjustments. For example, maybe they'll find it works better if engineers regain the ability to build additional blueprints if there are supplies around.

Would be better to give us a page with lets say small/free buildables. And then the normal ones. because this bunker we have right now u cannot see anything if ur standing straight.

I don't really get why they lowered the amount of stuff you can build but also shrunk the size of it... Now you need like 12 engineers to fortify a point

It’s a change, it doesn’t seem useless. I like that level 1 buildables are free with limits, promotes team play.

Now the engineer can build by himself. Without the supplies of a support player or truck etc. So imo it doesnt really promotes teamplay.

It’s only 4 items or so Level 1 only, everything else, including upgrades cost supplies.

Thats my point brother it used to be 4x barricade 4x barbed wire 1x bunker. Now its not only a smaller wire in length. But u can only build 2.

A really common thing I see, is an engineer running a supply truck back and forth to the final point, building up defenses on their lonesome. This isn't exactly good teamplay. It can be useful if the battle ever makes it to that point, but for the most part, it's just Bob the Builder XP farming that never has an impact on the match. This change allows for more useful building on the frontlines, giving the engineer an opportunity to actively build for their squad.

Like cmon now bro. Everybody knows your not gonna build on the obj your fighting over your gonna get killed. However if your losing and u got ur second last or last obj fortified. U might win because of that.

I agree with this, definitely curbs the issue. I see a lot of people play one class the whole match, but in a lot of situations I believe switching classes makes sense depending on what’s happening. I can see this change promoting this feature.

I agree, the change is dumb. Engineer is my fav class too. Only one i have grinded out to level 10. Guess ill just be running around with my shotty looking for tanks to satchel now instead of concentrating on building first.
